The problem here is, unless i recode the whole thing from scratch it will always crash the server since i cant isolate the exact reason why it crashes. So ask yourself what you want, a running server or crashes every 10 minutes.

We will have to implement one update after another and test live on the server if it's stable or not.
So we can actualy isolate the cause of the crash.

Does that mean that we will experience crashes as long as the updates do not fix the problem ( during the process of isolation) ? And then you will reconsider the matter and have another update :o? Is it possible to have only GMs connect to the server while you do that because there are people who would exploit crashes in order to benefit from it...

I will start by implementing the stuff that i deem "harmless" to the server performance. I narrowed it down to 2 possible reasons why it crashes which will be applied later on and in an isolated surrounding which i am working on in the meantime. Again, crashing the server isnt in my interest and every half decent player should think the same way.

Of course do we have test servers.
But in this case, the server is running just fine when we were testing all the new updates.

However, when there are hundreds of players playing on the server, there's always a big chance that the actual crash cause is being executed (for example using a skill within special circumstances)

If we knew the crash cause, we would have fixed it right away.
But first we need to find out what's the actual issue.

Just test, it's not a problem if we can't play until it's done.

Plus it's not like you're gonna let it crash for days...
Good Luck

even tough it might not be a problem for you, there are a lotta players that would find it rather problematic if they couldnt play. We are trying to keep downtimes as short as possible and as i said, i narrowed it down to 2 reasons which i may very well test on my own server.

Kudos for the fix! I don't know if it's just me but that also returned the latency back to normal for me. I no longer lag as much as prior. Thanks a lot! Appreciated!
