    Epoque's Tips and Tricks of Ragnarok Online The things you might not know! Everyone who's played Ragnarok Online for a good extent of time has picked up on a lot of little tips and tricks. However, how many do you really know about? This guide is designed to help those who are new, or looking for new tools and tricks, to rock a bit harder while playing. Hot Tip #1: Arrows and their effects Obviously, Arrows are designed for Snipers, Clowns/Gypsy, and Stalkers. But did you know Assassin Cross can also equip arrows? If you did, did you also know that any additional effects the Arrow produces are passed onto the player? That's right! If you equip a Frozen Arrow, the small chance of freezing will still pass onto your Assassin Cross! [skotlex] return 1; } } As seen above, there's not a single check to ensure the character class can equip Arrow. And it will still run the effects of the Arrow. Hot Tip #2: Damage modifiers According to a lot of guides i've read, people keep insisting that damage modifiers do not stack. That is, that a Hydra Card doesn't stack but works as such: Damage += Damage * (0.2 + (0.2 * 0.2) + (0.2 * 0.2 * 0.2) + (0.2 * 0.2 * 0.2 * 0.2)) That is for 4 Hydra Cards: 100 += 100 * (0.2 + (0.2 * 0.2) + (0.2 * 0.2 * 0.2) + (0.2 * 0.2 * 0.2 * 0.2)) = 100 += 100 * 0.2496 = 100 += 24.96 = 125 This is incorrect I personally create bonuses, and have studied these modifiers and they do stack. 100 += 100 * (0.2 + 0.2 + 0.2 + 0.2) = 180 So any mis-conception about them not stacking is false. Source evidence: cardfix=cardfix*(100+sd->right_weapon.addrace[tstatus->race])/100; sd->right_weapon.addrace always stacks. And we can see here that it allocates the total sum of the Race modifier. However, Boss and NonBoss race flags do NOT stack with Race modifiers. (IE, a Hydra = +20% Demihuman, a Turtle General = +20% Boss/NonBoss do not stack to +40%). Hot Tip #3: Drake Card Whenever someone asks for a Drake Card, a lot of people just go on about how useless they are. I mean, remove size modifiers? Psh, why waste valuable space investing in that when there's Turtle General or Status cards to be had! Most people don't understand the power of the Drake card. I mainly concern myself to those of melee based attacks. That is, those who use Knife, 2H Sword, Spears, Axes and Knuckles in PvP or WoE. Do players not realise that all damage is reduced by 25% when attacking other players!? Especially for Assassins and Paladins, this harbors a major threat. Rather than doing the 10k you've been practising for, you're doing 7,500 damage. Drake Card removes this 25% damage reduction That is to say, that Drake Card is more powerful than either Hydra OR Turtle General. Using a Drake Card is instantly +25% damage on all medium sized enemies, which includes other players. So, bear in mind, that Drake Card is not useless at all. It is actually the most powerful damage modifier for Melee attacks above Hydra, Skel Worker and Turtle General. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'll be adding more to this guide as time progresses.
