Dear Saint Nick This year, there is no item that I wish to pick From your jolly bag of gifts and Yuletide Candy sticks. I come to request, neither card nor gear For what I seek, is far greater I fear. It is for a world that I hold very dear To my heart and mind do the memories sear. I expect it not to be granted so But I just wanted you to very well know That the ones at the top of your nice list Are those who hide beyond this holiday's mist. Those who toil and constantly persist To make us smile all year long- they have been missed. Please do grant some coffee for the GM Team To make them smile and their eyes gleam. Leave them a bottle of holiday wine That they too, with joy, dine. For they have been giving gifts all year long So giving them a gift would do no wrong. Every update they've done was with toil and thought Bugs they've fixed have not been for naught. For they have players to appreciate Their support and funds to donate So Saint Nick, For get not to give them their gifts! They are people too not machines that kink! I pray that a single finger from your hand lifts To grant the GM Team their own wish~ My name is Kazalus, Soul of Joachym Roa Age of the 18 With a slate not entirely clean Rest assured I mean well Surely, you can tell. And as my own, selfish, desire I request one that is to be noticed One GM who's heart was on fire That gave opinions of deep thought that sire A strong bond with a game that was more than a game Lend thy ears to one they call Khai His words are priceless as those up high I pray you all be well and rarely tire!

    True Monster Cards Balancing

Hello I'm having thoughts about the new cards that just released recently [click for True details] Soo... for my first impression: just like the Old Headgears that already released on Hunter Shop months ago -these new cards are really nice and helpful in PvM life!! BUT when they're used at PvP environment, it might give discomforts for the victims of those cards user Example? True Howard Alt-Eisen card and here's another cool example True Eremes Guile card There are still other nice cards for example too, but here are the things about it: Tests were done without Memory of Thanatos card Target with 1m+ HP died in less than 3 seconds when the attacker wore 2x Kiel-D-01 card Additional data for comparison: Around 37,200+ Axe Tornado damage, Similar build with Well-geared Mechanic with Emperium gears one, and switched the True Howard Alt-Eisen card with the Memory of Thanatos card So it's around 54,000+ with Howard and 37,200+ with Thanatos -with similar gears, the only difference in weapon cards Damage can be boosted further if added Battlegrounds/Emperium gears The cards are mostly very helpful in dealing more damage with less MVP cards, which is good for hunting purpose, and more newbie friendly than the Memory of Thanatos card, for example The problem that I'm pointing at: If balancing attempt applied to the card effects (i.e.: reducing the damage bonus), PvM life will receive major loss. Why? The cards are as good as Old Headgears (i.e.: True Cecil Damon Card + Old Camouflage Rabbit Hood, they completed each other for Cluster Bomb bonus. But if the card effect got reduced for PvP balancing purposes, it would be like pretty much useless in PvM) In the end, here is my thought related to the things above: The first thing that came into my mind was: Would it be possible if the card effects applied only outside PvP just like the old Camouflage Rabbit Hood, for example. And being added like halved effect that works on PvP, or any proper amounts of effect that might be more balanced for PvP environment That's it, hope the thoughts can be used for consideration in balancing attempts Thank you

    Sanhe's Guide to the Rebellion

The Rebellion class is known for their flexibility by simply switching weapons, and thus dealing large amounts of damage from a distance rivaling Rangers and Magic-users in tearing down foes! This guide will talk about 2 main builds: Rifle and Shotgun as well as 2 'minor' roles of Revolver and Gatling Gun. Enjoy the guide! Trivia time! Did you know that the first class I've ever played in Ragnarok was a Gunslinger? Now you know! ================================= This guide contains: -Stat builds (with Pros and Cons!) -Item builds -Skills -Tips and Tricks ================================= 1) Stat builds: Rebellion builds are very flexible, meaning you can switch weapons and still deal significant damage depending on the situation! Major Builds: Shotgun Stat build: The Face Buster (Personal Favorite) Str - 50 - 100~ (You will need 50 Str or above to carry your bullets! If you're planning to use Slug Shot a lot, I recommend putting around 100 Str to ensure you can carry heavier slugs!) Agi - 200 (Shotguns take a ton of attack speed from you. This is actually the primary weakness of the shotgun: speed. 200 Agi along with some buffs and potions should give you steady damage.) Vit - 100~ (Your call to how much Vit you want to put. I personally put around 100 - 120 Vit for an increase in survival rate!) Int - 50 - 60~ (Int will be used solely for SP purposes. Your spamming of Full Buster will take a toll on your SP. The more SP, the better!) Dex - 200 (This will be the source of your main damage output as well as attack speed! I recommend max-ing this out first!) Luk - --> Pump Luk to anything divisible by 3 <-- (This will be for extra damage and resist!) Pros: -Super high damage output if built properly. -Good for crowd control situations. -Capable of subtle disables Cons: -Very slow attack speed. Shotguns reduces your attack speed by a lot which balances out the damage you dish out. -Low (No) mobility skills. -High SP-cost skills Rifle Stat build: Anti-any-material Str - 60~ (You will need 50 Str or above to carry your bullets!) Agi - 150 (You don't need a lot of attack speed for Rifles but I do recommend putting around 130 - 150 Agi to ensure that you are on Max Aspd despite being Marshed, Quagmired, Agi-Down, or Freezing.) Vit - 120~ (Your call to how much Vit you want to put. I personally put around 100 - 120 Vit for an increase in survival rate!) Int - 50~ (Rifle skills don't take a lot of SP so keeping your Int at a minimum of 50 will be enough for you to take down anything and still have SP left over!) Dex - 200 (This will be the source of your main damage output as well as attack speed! I recommend max-ing this out first!) Luk - --> Pump Luk to anything divisible by 3 <-- (This will be for extra damage and resist!) Pros: -Consistent (high) damage output -Surprisingly fast -Access to a strong debuff -Strong PvE potential -Low SP-cost and spammable skills -Doesn't need Kiel to work -Cheap to build Cons: -Damage output is lower compared to Shotgun -Low Mobility Minor Builds: Revolver Stat Build: Jumper Str - 60~ (You will need 50 Str or above to carry your bullets!) Agi - 120 (You don't need a lot of attack speed for Revolvers but I do recommend putting around 130 - 150 Agi to ensure that you are on Max Aspd despite being Marshed, Quagmired, Agi-Down, or Freezing.) Vit - 150~ (Your call to how much Vit you want to put. I personally put around 150 Vit for an increase in survival rate because you're going to be going up close and personal!) Int - 50~ (Rifle skills don't take a lot of SP so keeping your Int at a minimum of 50 will be enough for you to take down anything and still have SP left over!) Dex - 200 (This will be the source of your main damage output as well as attack speed! I recommend max-ing this out first!) Luk - --> Pump Luk to anything divisible by 3 <-- (This will be for extra damage and resist!) Pros: -Arguably the fastest attacking build -Effective at all ranges -Very mobile -Cheap to build Cons: -Going near enemies risks you getting killed quickly -Low damage output Gatling Gun Stat Build: Wrecker Str - 60~ (You will need 50 Str or above to carry your bullets!) Agi - 120 (You don't need a lot of attack speed for Gatling Guns but I do recommend putting around 130 - 150 Agi to ensure that you are on Max Aspd despite being Marshed, Quagmired, Agi-Down, or Freezing.) Vit - 120~ (Your call to how much Vit you want to put. I recommend max-ing this out first!) Luk - --> Pump Luk to anything divisible by 3 <-- (This will be for extra damage and resist!) Pros: -2nd fastest Rebel Build -Effective at face-range -Capable of destroying ground-effects -Potential Emperium Breaker Cons: -Going near enemies risks you getting killed quickly -Low Mobility =================================================================== Now that we've got the stat builds out of the way, time for item builds! Shotgun build: This build is highly reliant on foods, buffs, and items, especially those that reduce cast-delay! But fear not, this build has caused me to obliterate lots of people during WoE and PvP! Oh, and this build works perfectly for PvE as well~ Upper Headgear: +10 Midgard Serpent Hat [1] - This item will be your go-to. It grants resistance against demi-human and gives you -10% cast delay when it reaches +10. (obtainable via Shady Figure in Althea's Adventurer Guild for 70 EBFs) +?? Glorious Helm S [1] - Reduces your cast delay by 25% if you're equipping the Glorious S set. If you're wearing a Glorious Weapon, you gain +7% Atk and Matk which is always welcome! (obtainable via Battlegrounds for ? Battle Badges) +?? Blessed Valkyrie Helm [1] - Stats, stats, and stats! Adds +15 to all stats! Stats are always good especially if they grant both Dex and Agi~ Do take note that this is quite expensive to make. (obtainable via this quest) +?? Prism [1] A great balance between stats and effects! I recommend choosing either Effect #2 or Effect #3. (obtainable via this quest) Recommended Cards: Kiel-D-01- This card will be your best bet for dishing out tons and tons of damage! Equip two of these for maximum effect! Gemini-S58 Card - A viable option of you can't afford a Kiel (yet!). This card will grant you resistance against Stone Curse, Silence, Stun, and Sleep depending on your stats. This will allow you to continuously deal damage without being interrupted by status effects. Maya Purple Card - Grants you a third-eye to see them sneaky bois. A better option would be using Prism #3 and slotting a Kiel on it but, it's still a fine choice! Middle Headgear: Baron's Evil Eye [1] - Reduces your cast delay by 5% but increases SP costs by 25%. This item will grant you that subtle boost in cast delay reduction causing you to deal damage faster like a madman, and as a bonus, it looks dank on a Rebel! (obtained at the Pro Hunter Shop for 50 Hunter Coins). Noble Mask [1] - Royal Dark Flame [1] Recommended Cards: Kiel-D-01 - You will need a second Kiel-D-01 card to make the shotgun build work because Full Buster's cast delay is just so bad but the damage hits like a truck. Gemini Card - Budget resists if you don't have Kiel (yet!). Maya Purple Card (only if you don't have another one equipped yet) - I only recommend using the Maya Purple Card on a different headgear which you will use to switch in and out as an alternative when fighting Cloaking or Invis-using characters. Lower Headgear: Father's White Mustache [1] - Personally, I prefer this because it's cheap and provides a good source of Atk making this a go-to item for all my Rebellion Builds. Angry Snarl [0] - When one of my friends reminded me of this item, I was torn between using this over the Mustache because of that tiny "-after cast delay " which enabled 100% cast delay reduction. It's easy to farm and is a good alternative for the Mustache. Rainbow Sash [1] - The stats from the sash are great since it provides Atk and AtkSpd which are both incredibly important for all Rebellion builds. It's expensive and tedious to make but it's just as rewarding. Nebula Aura [1] - You can use this when you're up against Magic users but I don't recommend keeping it as a main lower headgear because the auto-casting spells botch your flow when trying to burst an enemy down with Full Buster. Recommended Cards: Deviruchi Card - This will prevent Full Buster from blinding you especially when your Atroce Card or Speed of Light procs. It's subtle but very important! Marduk Card - Normally I just bring Panacea but if you really don't have a Deviruchi card, this is a safe bet to rely on (for a while!). Dark Pinguicula Card(?) Duneyrr Card(?) Armor: +12 Geffen Magic Robe [1] - Pretty standard because it grants that -10% cast delay when +12. I recommend this only if it's +12 so that you get the maximum cast delay reduction which will help you shell your enemies down! +?? Brynhild [0]/[1] - On paper, this God-armor looks great but without the after-cast delay reduction, you will be missing out on a lot of damage. I wouldn't choose this over the GMR. +?? Glorious S Suit [1] - It's a pretty OK item but not as great as a +12 GMR! +?? Emperium Formal Suit [1] - A better alternative for the +12 GMR! +?? Adventurer Armor [1] - The cool thing about Rebellion is that they can be strong even with starter gear~ Recommended Cards: Tao Gunka Card - You will need this card for survival. This is your staple and you must work for this card at all costs! A Rebel is a super squishy class without a Tao Gunka Card! Detale Card - A pretty cool card if you're up against Magic-users like Warlocks because it prevents freezing and casts Land Protector when hit with magic nullifying AoE skills! Not as good compared to a good ol' Tao Gunka Card though~ Recommended as alternative usage only. Marc Card - Budget anti-freeze for Anti-Minstrel. Pecopeco Card - Budget Tao that isn't too shabby either. Weapon: (* indicates supportive weapons) +14 Glorious Shotgun [0] - Best weapon for punching holes through tanky classes like RKs, RGs, and Suras! Perfect also for taking down groups of people with Spread Shot which deals a ridiculously high amount of damage even at +11! +10~ Death Fire [1] - Slot your Atroce card here and deal 200k - 400k damage per second! Trust me, try it. +?? Crimson Revolver [2]* - I chose this revolver because it's cheap and easy to find but it doesn't really matter. You just need a revolver to switch to when you need to change positions with Fallen Angel. +?? Color Scope [2]* - Use this weapon to deal a pretty good amount of damage when using Anti-Material Blast to weaken enemies. Once you see that debuff hovering over their head, pop them with a few Full Busters to deal an insane amount of damage. +?? Tempest [0]* - I normally use this weapon to cast Fire Rain to get rid of traps, Land Protectors, and reveal sneaky Invis users! Recommended Cards: Atroce Card Phreeoni Card Thanatos Card Samurai Specter Card Stormy Knight Card Doppelganger Card Cecil Damon Card Garment: +12 Giant Snake Skin {Spec. Dex/Agi, Dex/Agi, Dex/Agi} [1] +?? Glorious Muffler S Asprika [0] Half Asprika [1] +?? Adventurer Cape [1] Recommended Cards: Cenere Card Menblatt Card Farbjodour Card Kades Card Footgear: +?? Temporal Dex Boots {Expert Archer5, Speed of Light/Hawk Eye} [1] +?? Glorious Shoes S [0] +12 Hiking Boots [1] +?? Adventurer Boots [1] Recommended Cards: Boss Egnigem Card Moonlight Flower Card Accessories: Physical Enhancer Ring [1] Emperium Glove [1] Emperium Clip [1] Adventurer's Badge [1] Glorious Ring S-1 [0] Glorious Ring S-2 [0] Sheriff's Badge [0] Recommended Cards: Faceworm Card Dark Faceworm Card Bronzering Card Belphegor Card Errende Ebecee Card ----TBC----

New items Pro Hunter Market pls

Hi I just want to suggest more love to Pro Hunter Market... as new costumes / equipment since some equips like the BioLab ones can be done by quest (just for example). Also, some people don't even attend the Pro Hunter instances due to the lack of motivation in Pro Hunter Market (like my case and others). So, please take this into consideration.

Ichi's PvP Guide for Royal Guard

Welcome to a Guide for the Panzer of GatheringRO! Hello guys, here i am again to share to you a guide that mainly consists of my knowledge about RG and how i play the class which i believe will provide decent knowledge for people who plays or wants to play RG. I will share 2 builds that i do which i call "Sacrifice & Tank RG" and "Hybrid STR RG". What is Royal Guard? Why Royal Guard? Sacrifice / Tank Build RG (Cheap/Budget Build) This build relies a lot on hp pool and hp regen increasing items as it's meant for tanking the damages to create space for the team and merely relies on Sacrifice skill to deal high damage with the cost of RG's own hp. Hybrid Str Build RG (Expensive Build) This build is less tankier than Sacri RG and is far more offensive, it relies heavily on attack and str thus making the stat points for prestige lesser. Offensive skills will mostly consist of Overbrand + Sacri (still a good backup against squishy ones) + shield chain. Royal Guard Battle Guide (Hybrid and Sacri) Most of the content you'll get to read here are from my experiences battling these chars and what i did to win against them. Note that Sacri RG is one of the easiest chars to reduce just with neutral reducers which makes it very simplistic but putting in a lot of brain work and effort on how to compensate with that weakness with still even using sacri RG is a piece of art for me. Inspired by Chan, former member of Reclusion Perpetua Guild to whom i saw someone using Sacri RG to its fullest destroying almost every char with just Sacrifice as damage skill. WoE Guide for Royal Guard (Hybrid and Sacri) Royal Guard might look very simple to use but you can boost your performance a lot by being innovative with it and by not being too hasty, rather than just trying to deal damage and just spamming OB or Sacri. This can actually be applied to other chars too. I guess that's it for now. Thanks a lot for reading and i hope you learned something new! Then again, Ichi at your service

    King Poring Card

Correct me if i'm wrong but isn't KP only meant to reduce 20% + 5% from all races when +9 but i believe this script "bonus2 bSubRace,RC_All,20; bonus2 bSubRace,RC_Player,20;" means it gives +20% resist on all races and +20% resist from players? And all monsters includes player damages which makes it +40% resist from players right?

    Old - Good Bye Thread

Heyyo, guys! It's me Kazadut! By Saturday, I'll be going on hiatus (basically quitting for awhile) to focus on my studies. Thank you GatheringRO for being an awesome avenue for my studies as a creative writer. For now, I'll be passing down my [Costume: Floating Ice] to the 1st Prize Winner of the guide event @Gacha!!! You've all been awesome and I wish to return soon when hell-week/hell-month/hell-year is over. One of the reasons also I'm giving gRO a rest is because I'm becoming frustrated with WoE seeing people deal massive damage at the same time receive like 10k damage from my full force attacks, and it's making me angst-yer than usual, but that won't change the fact that I might log-in from time to time to check up on gRO, perhaps play a bit or chill in Althea but not do anything too serious. You guys have been super to me, and I won't ever forget about this server. As a pre-parting shot, here's a poem I made for you all! Dear GatheringRO, I've seen you, for two years grow And I just want to let you all know That I'll fade (for a bit) in the alpenglow. I propose, a toast And maybe a roast To those who matter to me the most; Who guided me like light and post. @Ryu Sakamoto One of my first ever friends, who I encountered in gRO, who, though faded like me, is a true friend N I K, and Ritsumune, I hope you guys stay safe! You too, I met in Lutie, helped me follow the server's trend. @Gacha That cat, I will remember, sitting in Althea, an icon, a guild leader, a costume collector @Sanaaa I will always remember you as my mentor, teacher, that guy who shows up in WoE like the Terminator @theomarsmellow I will remember you, as OP RG, and OP Genx (not as op as @Ryu Sakamoto ya suck compared to him ) @Khaii Let the bromance continue! I pray you become core GM soon! You're the only Sura and Shadow Chaser I don't hate on a whim Challengeur. I always idolized Eli and the way he can kill anyone despite their tankiness. Kudos to you masta! To all the Rune Knights: screw you and your massive HPs, and you Dragon Breath, and your Spiral Pierce, and your Hundred Spears, and your--- To all the Suras: screw you and your Combos, and your CC, and your TIGER CANNON, AND YOU TIGER CANNON, AND YOUR TI- AND KHAI! To all the Royal Guards: screw you and your Sac, and your OB, and your Earth Drive, and your Prestige... thanks for Devo though To all the Genetics: screw you and your AD, and your Hell's Plant, and your Crazy Weed, and your Cart Boost! Thanks for your FCP though To all the Guillotine Crosses: Screw you Jason! To all the WLs: Screw you Bell! To all the classes I weren't able to mention, and people I forgot/didn't mention: SCREW YOU ALL AND I LOVE YA'LL!!! Peace out!

GENETIC PVP GUIDE

Geneticist PvP Guide This guide is all about a discussion of how to do PvP with the class who specializes in wits, speed, and style. If you got lost because you were looking for something else kindly click these links in order to find your ways: Contents: Overview Pros and Cons Stats Skills Recommended Gears Match-ups Afterword Overview Geneticists are the third job advancement of the Alchemists and Biochemists. An all-rounder class that introduces the use of Plants and new Cart Skills. They can solo MVP's and rather considered among the best with regards to it. Geneticists received an improved version of Cart Boost which makes their mobility one of the best in the game. They're a must have member in a guild in order to prevent armors and weapons from getting stripped or broken during sieges. The masters of alchemy have returned and they are now a deadly force to reckon with. Pros and Cons Geneticists are not perfect, well not all class are, but here are some things you should look over about this class. Pros: - High mobility due to Cart Boost - Good Support skills with an almost Mandatory buff in every WOE/PvP - Trap Abilities and Trap Clearing Skill - Easy to spam skills Cons: - Heavily reliant on supplies making it a very expensive class - Reliable AoE skills but requires setting up to be useful Stats STR: 90-180 (180 for Temporal Str Boots) AGI: 1 or 110-120 (cast animation cancellation) VIT: 130-150 (130 for bonus of Adventurer's Backpack) DEX: 150-185 (185 for Temporal Dex Boots) INT: 180-200 (main offensive stat) LUK: 50-90 (LUK points are much cheaper over STR/INT after a certain point also good for freeze duration reduction) Builds are a matter of personal touch. Just go over and test out which build you want to go for and work your stat around it. Skills I'm sure someone already discussed the skills, but as I've said, like stats, what you use is really up to you, the ones below are a discussion of what they do and a bit of my opinion on them. (GIF: Anime "KonoSuba") If you want to be someone like her who only spams one skill, I'm not one to judge Acid Demonstration - The bread and butter skill for Geneticists. This is a single target selectable forced neutral long ranged skill that has a 10% chance of breaking your weapon or armor and deals more damage for players with more VIT. Your enemies are bound to have a bit of VIT in order to survive, you will never have to worry about dealing the least damage (unless you get countered via gears). This skill consume 1Acid Bottle and 1Grenade Bottle. Potion Pitcher - The main healing skill of Geneticist. Heal rate is increased depending on the target's VIT, INT along with Increased HP Recovery and Increased SP Recovery. Take note that Lvl 4 Potion Pitch consumes White Potion and Lvl 5 Potion Pitch consumes Blue Potion so make sure you got both on your shortcuts. Full Chemical Protection - The combined chemical protection skill which makes Geneticists a must have in a guild or a party. This buff protects headgear, armor, weapon, garment and shoes from being stripped or broken, which saves a LOT of lives. This skill consume 1Glistening Potion. Cart Boost - The built-in Moonlight + Brazilian Flag Hat that offers max movement speed for Geneticist making them more mobile than the rest. Although the Mechanics get a similar skill from the Whitesmith skill set, Geneticists gets increased ATK from the Cart Boost because of Cart Remodelling. You can't use this skill without a cart. Cart Cannon - This skill is target selectable long range skill that splash 3x3 at max and for those fond of machine guns, this is a good skill overall. This thing is good to counter people using neutral resists to counter Acid Demonstration since the damage can be converted or changed depending on the Cannonball equipped. Also note that it is a Pseudo-neutral skill, making it convertable with elemental converters. Consumes Cannon Balls. NOTE: Sling Item - A single target selectable skill that throws either fruit bombs, increased recovery potions or stat foods depending on what you equipped. One of your major disables. Below are the effects of each bombs and other things that can be thrown. Blood Sucker - attaches a blood sucking plant onto a target and applies fixed damage and restores some of it back to you. This is reliable since it cancels casting as well as cloaking enemies. Consumes 1Bloodsuck Plant Seed. Demonic Fire - an AoE skill that burns the area and has a chance to apply burning stats on those who are caught in it. This skill can be chained with Fire Expansion. Consumes 1Bottle Grenade. Fire Expansion - an extension skill for Demonic Fire which applies different buffs or debuffs depending on the level of the skill used. Set this up whenever you get a chance. The item consumed is also different depending on the level of the skill used. -Lvl 1 - 1Oil Bottle - Increases magic damage and extends the fire duration. -Lvl 2 - 1Explosive Powder - Inflicts Fire magic damage and ends the skill. -Lvl 3 - 1Smoke Powder - aka "Purple Gas", reduces ranged damage and melee damage but increases Flee rate and also extends the duration. -Lvl 4 - 1Tear Gas - aka "Gray Smoke", reduces flee and hit, drains max hp per 2 sec and forces enemies to do /cry emote. It also extends the duration. -Lvl 5 - 1Acid Bottle - it becomes an AoE Acid Demonstration and ends the skill. Hell's Plant - a ground skill that inflict damage in contact that has a chance to apply Bleed or Stun on those who gets damaged by it. A highly offensive skill which is effective for those who are under Pneuma. Consumes 1Plant Bottle. Mandragora Howling - an AoE skill around the caster that applies a debuff that extends Fixed Casting Time along with reducing INT and SP of those who are caught in it. Pretty handy against enemies who likes to close the gap. Consumes 1Mandragora Flowerpot. Cart Tornado - an AoE skill around the caster that deals damage. This is really unreliable since you're going to keep some distance in order not to get rekked by other players. But if you want to spin to win, go for it Wall of Thorn - an AoE ground skill around a single target which damages and pushes those who get in contact by 2 cells. Not really that reliable during WoE. It can be chained by a Fire Property attack and becomes Fire Wall. Consumes 1Thorn Plant Seed. Illusion Doping - an targetable skill that splash around the target dealing damage and causing Hallucination. In terms of reliability, it is reliable but not to the extent that it would really cause that much of a distraction. Consumes 1Alcohol. Spore Explosion - attaches a spore to a target causing more damage once it explodes afterwards dealing also splash damage around the target. A fun skill but in terms of damage its not really that much. Consumes 1Bomb Mushroom Spore. Crazy Weed - an AoE near instant ground skill (near instant meant it last for like a second) that summons a bundle of plants that deals Earth Property damage on the area that sweeps away any ground skill. Really reliable for clearing traps and other land effects. Consumes 1Thorn Plant Seed. Recommended Gears Players often ask what to get and where to get, I'm sure you're one of 'em if you're reading this guide. Well you can check these gears below if it suits your taste. (WoE Core Weapon Shop @go woe) Glorious Flamberge - good because of the bonuses and Slaughter Effect (Glorious Weapon Shop at Battlegrounds Lobby @go bg) Glorious Cleaver - an alternative for the flamberge (Glorious Weapon Shop at Battlegrounds Lobby @go bg) Accessories Royal Earrings [1] - the healing boost along with elemental resist is good (from King Poring) Expert Rings [1] - you get these for the sake of after cast delay reduction Improved Expert Rings [1] - the name says it all, but its just an additional -1% after cast reduction with no penalties Improved Rings - good increase for ATK stat Emperium Clip [1] - increases long range attacks (WoE Core Equipment Shop @go woe) Sets Warmaster's Set - greatly increases overall damage but sacrifices spam rate. (Transcended Gears Shop at Battlegrounds Lobby @go bg) Emperium Set - if you're up to overall resist then this is a must have. You can check some variations of the armor, garment and shoes that will suit your build (WoE Core Equipment Shop @go woe) Glorious Set - immunity to freeze with high resist and high hp and sp also boosts healing. If not, at least you read some of it. This is purely based on my experiences and feedbacks are always encouraged. Genetic VS Royal Guard You may think that Geneticists are made to mow down tanks, but this tank may take a while from tanking your damages. With Defending Aura, they can reduce incoming ranged damages from punches to tickles. They can also destroy traps with Earth Drive and Trample. No worries, although it will take a while to take them down, you can still beat them by getting out of melee range and try to spam your skills. Genetic VS Rune Knight Tanks are weird. Although they can tank, they deal insane amount of damage for some reason. Rune knights are good with long range attacks since they can go with Dragon breath and Spiral Pierce which deals insane damages. Although they can pack a punch, it doesn't mean yours isn't gonna hurt them. Keep out of range, and make sure you can trap them as they don't have any way to clear your traps. Genetic VS Warlock You'd think that spamming on them won't work since they're not keenly built on HP, well you're not entirely wrong but you've been looking at it on a different view. Warlocks are glass cannons meaning if you let them setup their combos, you're in a world of hurt. Marsh of the Abyss works even if you have Golden Thief Bug on shield. Don't worry, even though they can really pack a punch that doesn't mean they won't drop from a spam of a few bottles. Make sure to get ahead of them before they can do their thing. Genetic VS Shadow Chaser Genetics are the obvious counter to Shadow Chasers, but don't get too lax as they won't go down without a fight. Most of the time they'd rely on Manhole to catch you then damage you with their other skill and try to wear you down. The way to deal with them is for you to punish them whenever they miss their skills. Genetic VS Sorcerer This is an even match since a Sorcerer is also a versatile class, giving them options to support themselves like you are. To deal with them is to try to dodge their lock skills and try to disable them. If they go for a Wall of Fog, punish them with your AoE skills to force them out of it or remove it if you want to. Genetic VS Mechanic When it comes to speed, your cart is nothing compared to a Madogear. They have Neutral Barrier that blocks all ranged attacks making your bread and butter useless. Don't get discouraged though, you can cancel Neutral Barrier with Crazy Weed. Against HSCR type or Non-Mado Mechanic, its easier to punish them since you are ranged. Genetic VS Guillotine Cross This is a bad match during PvP since they'll do anything to get close to you and that also means the end for you once they do. Oblivion Curse or Leech End and even Magic Mushroom can annoy the heck out of you so to deal with them you should keep a distance and try not to get caught and catch them instead. In WoE, they are pretty easy to deal with due to them not being able to really close the gap if you wear the proper gears. Genetic VS Sura A very annoying match-up if the Sura knows how to place Pneuma. They fly and fly around the map making you chase them and catch you off-guard then go with their combos. To deal with them, you should punish them if they didn't place a Pneuma and try to disable them as much as possible. Genetic VS Rangers The trap masters of the game are annoying indeed especially in coordinated teamfights, but they are very easy to deal with once you get in range. Don't get arrogant though, just like you they'd want to stay out of range as possible so be careful of their skills. Genetic VS Summoner Summoners are the cats, don't get mistaken by their appearances. They maybe cute but they are deadly and tanky too. They also specializes in ranged attacks like you and their weapons are practically unbreakable, but it doesn't mean you're gonna lose without a fight. Try to wear them down and try to know when and for how long does their defensive skills last. Punish them when they get in your range. Afterword I would like to thank the following people who pushed me to make this guide: @Khaii @Shuichi @Kazalus @Gacha @Sanaaa To those who read up to this point of the guide, thank you. To the newbies who looked over this guide. I hope this guide helped you a lot. See you in game IGN: Flamel Emure

I’ve been playing casually since pre-wipe, which was around 10 years ago but in an on and off basis. I am in no way the best Genetic in the server, not by a long shot; but I am here to impart some knowledge about my favorite class. 2. Overview This guide aims to enlighten the readers on what a Genetic can do both in PVM and PVP (whenever I mention PVP, it is interchangeable with WOE and vice versa); not to dictate you on how you should play your genetic. Take this guide as a starting point to get an idea of what the class can do and from thereon you can build your own playstyle. This will include in-depth analysis of skills and equipment options for newbies and old players alike (with the original god items as an exception) so that you may build your own Genetic that will suit your playstyle! Disclaimer: Almost all formulas are taken from iRO which in turn takes theirs from the official kRO server (post-balancing). I have no way of knowing the exact formula for our server as I have no access to the back-end of the server, but through testing, I have confirmed that most are behaving as they are supposed to; meaning that the vital factors on each formula are still behaving the same in our server. 3. Skills For the full list of skills refer here. 3. Notable Skills Acid Demonstration – This is your signature damaging skill and your highest damaging skill. It’s a ranged forced neutral attack based off your ATK, MATK, and the target’s VIT. Requires and consumes a Grenade Bottle and an Acid Bottle per cast. An in-depth section is provided below. Cart Cannon – This is your bread and butter skill and is by far my favorite Genetic Skill. It’s a ranged physical attack that carries the property of your equipped cannon ball. Requires you to have a Cannon Ball equipped. An in-depth section is provided below Cart Boost – Arguably the best movement speed steroid in the game. It gives 100% movement speed and a whopping +50 ATK at max level. Decrease AGI and this skill mutually cancel each other out; if this skill is active and Decrease AGI succeeds, use this skill once to cancel Decrease AGI and once more to activate it again. Potion Pitcher – The best supportive skill at your disposal alongside Full Chemical Protection. This goes through GTB users unlike Archbishop’s healing skills. It is highly affected by your INT and the target’s VIT. Level 4 is for White Potions (HP) and level 5 is for Blue Potions (SP). Formula: Slim Potion Pitcher – An AOE Potion Pitcher except that it is unaffected by INT and the target’s VIT – only Potion Research increases its effectiveness. Full Chemical Protection – Protects the target’s equipment from being stripped and damaged (by skills) for the duration. Invaluable in WoE, PVP, and in some cases PVM. Requires and consumes a Glistening Coat for each cast. Blood Sucker – A good skill for sustain, flinching enemies, and interrupting casting. A maximum of three can be attached to enemies before the first one expires, but only one Blood Sucker can be attached per target. Requires and consumes a Bloodsuck Plant Seed for each cast. Crazy Weed – Inflicts physical Earth property damage and sweeps any ground skill in a 9x9 area. Great for removing nasty Ranger traps, Shadow Chaser paints, and Sorcerer ground skills including Land Protector. Requires a Thorn Plant Seed for each cast. Demonic Fire – Continuously inflict Fire property magic damage (can be blocked by GTB) on the target area with a chance to inflict enemies with the Burning Status. Fire Expansion can be cast on top of this skill. Requires and consumes a Bottle Grenade for each cast. Fire Expansion – It causes various effects in an active sea of Demonic Fire depending on the thrown object/catalyst. An in-depth section is provided below Hell’s Plant – Summons a plant at the target location, which will inflict damage upon contact with a chance of leaving the affected enemy stunned or bleeding for 20 seconds. Requires and consumes a Plant Bottle for each cast. An in-depth section is provided below Howling of Mandragora – Has a chance to inflict the Howling status in a larger area (15x15 at level 5) which decreases INT, SP, and increases Fixed Cast Time (does not work on monsters). A great crowd control tool in WOE. The chance is reduced by the target's VIT and LUK. Requires and consumes a Mandragora Flowerpot. Illusion Doping – A great tool for wiping low HP mobs due to its 29x29 AOE at level 5. In PVP, it’s better to use lower levels despite the smaller AOE for a higher chance of inflicting Hallucination status and decreasing HIT. Requires and consumes an Alcohol for each cast. Thorn Trap – Good for immobilizing targets (while also dealing fixed damage per second) and can even be used against MVPs (counts as a rude attack, making some MVPs teleport away). If the trapped target is hit by a Fire Property attack, the trap will be destroyed just like Sorcerer’s Spider Web but without the extra damage. Each cast requires and consumes a Thorn Plant Seed. Wall of Thorns – Creates a 5x5 barrier of thorns which is good for crowd controlling large mobs as normal monsters are knocked back by it. You can either put it up in a choke point or target the cell you are standing on to protect you from all sides. If hit by a Fire property attack, the thorns will combust and turn into a LVL5 Fire Wall. This has Earth property so it also reveals hidden enemies. Each cast requires and consumes a Thorn Plant Seed. Item Sling – Causes different effects on the target depending on the type of ammo used. The only notable item to use in PVP is Banana Bomb which forces enemies to sit and decrease their LUK and Melon Bomb which reduces the target's movement speed and attack speed. For the full list of items and their effects, refer below: 3B. Creation Skills Pharmacy – Creates various potions and bottles for your skills. Different Creation Guides are needed along with the materials. Each cast requires and consumes a Medicine Bowl. Recipes: Success Rate & Bonuses: Mixed Cooking - Prepares delicious dishes by mixing various ingredients. These dishes boost a Primary Stat by 20 for 5 minutes. Requires the user to have the Cooking Book: Mix Cooking book in the inventory. Recipes: Success Rate: Special Pharmacy - Brews a set of potions and drinks among a wide variety. Higher skill level increases the number of items that can be brewed in one set. Requires user to have the proper manual to make specific items. Recipes: Success Rate: Bomb Creation - Creates explosives out of various kinds of fruit. Requires the user to have at least one volume from the How to Make Bomb series, depending on the fruit bomb the user wants to create. Recipes: Success Rate: 3C. Homunculi Skills Bioethics – It allows the learning of Homunculus Skills. Call Homunculus - Creates a new Homunculus from an Embryo or summons an existing Homunculus that was stored by using the Rest skill. Rest - Stores the owner's Homunculus. Resurrect Homunculus - Revives a Homunculus that has been defeated in battle. A more in-depth section about Homunculi can be found below. 3D. In-Depth Skills Cart Cannon The damage formula is as follows: Damage (ATK) = [Base_Damage + {(Cart_Remodeling_Lv × 50) × (INT ÷ 40)}]% This means that INT is the most important stat when using Cart Cannon, contrary to other people thinking it’s STR as it only increases your sATK and wATK up to much. Cart Cannon is a ranged physical attack. 1. Can be blocked by Pneuma and Kyrie Eleison. 2. Affected by %Ranged Modifiers; damage and reduction. 3. When equipped with an Iron Cannon Ball (Neutral); the skill becomes Pseudo-Elemental: Taking into account your weapon’s element/endow into the calculation of the damage but remaining as a neutral attack (would still miss on Ghost3 and Ghost4 element monsters) 4. Cast time is purely variable; you can achieve insta-cast with stats alone. Here's a chart of the AOE and Cast Distance Acid Demonstration The specific formula for Acid Demonstration is unknown but a suggested formula is as follows: Suggested Renewal Formula But a few years ago, GM Beastboy tinkered with the formula as he mentions in one of his posts and I quote verbatim: What is certain is that ATK and MATK are of the same weight in calculating the damage of this skill. Acid Demonstration is a Forced Neutral ranged attack: 1. It will always stay neutral no matter the element/endow of your weapon and will miss on Ghost3 and Ghost4 element monsters. 2. The highest damage increase you can get on this skill is through %Ranged Modifiers, as it applies to the whole formula, both the ATK and MATK part (they are computed separately) unlike cards like Hyrdra which only applies to the ATK portion. 3. The way that DEF applies to this kill is kinda wonky, therefore having Memory of Thanatos Card / Incantation Samurai Card doesn’t really do much if it does anything at all. 4. Cast Time is a mix of variable and fixed. Fixed cast time is .40 seconds which is reducible by Geffen Magic Robe (-.10) and Temporal Dex Boots w/ 185 base Dex (-.35) – achieving insta-cast*. Due to an update, it seems that the Fixed Cast Time is now around 1 second - meaning insta-cast is no longer achievable. *Take note that this is the only way to achieve insta-cast on AD due to how unfavorable Fixed Cast Reduction stacks (just like Variable Cast) Fire Expansion Throws a catalyst (depending on level) on an active sea of Demonic Fire: LVL1 and 2 are not really worth the trouble to use but 3 4, and 5 has its own uses (especially on WOE). LVL3 Smoke Powder - A great defensive tool and shines the most when sieging: casting it on the portal (when rushing) or after an Emergency Call would mitigate the damage that your guild members would take. LVL4 Tear Gas - My personal favorite! Drains 5% MaxHP regardless of reduction and immunity of an enemy! Some of the usage for this is the inverse of LVL3: cast it on the portal when defending or when an enemy guild just used Emergency Call! LVL5 Acid Bottle - AOE Acid Demonstration, nothing really to discuss except that it is treated as misc damage now instead of magic (it was blockable by GTB before). Hell’s Plant To follow~ 4. Equipment I have listed equipment options that I deem viable; in by no means that anything not on this list isn't good. This is purely based on my personal opinion and as the human that I am, I probably missed on some available equipment. I labeled these by their costs: Low Cost - Easy to obtain, Cheap to buy (100m or lower), or can be obtained with no cost (untradeable items from World Boss Events); Medium Cost - A bit harder to acquire and/or can be bought below 1b; High Cost - Very hard to obtain (e.g. Rainbow Sash) and/or can be bought for more than 1b. Set items are discussed in a separate section. 4A. Upper Headgear Blessed Valkyrie Helm [High Cost][Recommended] – Gives +15 to all stats. With how stat hungry Genetics are, there’s no better headgear for overall usage. Obtainable via the Blessed Valkyrie Helm Quest Dark Lord Helm [High Cost] – Gives +10 to all stats and some HP and SP. It’s great, but very expensive to make. Obtainable via the Dark Lord Helm Quest Prism #2 / #3 [Medium Cost][Recommended (#3)] – Gives +10 / +7 stats depending on your choice. #2 is easier to make and gives a hefty 7% Demi-Human reduction. #3 is a bit more costly to make but frees up a slot because of its Maya Purple effect (detect hidden enemies) which is invaluable in PVP. Great starting God Helm for newbies. Obtainable via the Prism Quest Golden Dragon Helm [Medium Cost] – Gives +10 to all stats except INT. Decent but not really that great, I’d choose Prism over this. Obtainable via the Golden Dragon Helm Quest Dragon of Eternity [High Cost] – Gives +10 to all stats and +5 flat ASPD which will save you a ton of stat points. A great headgear but very expensive to make. I don’t recommend shooting for this when you just started as it’ll be a tedious task. Obtainable via the Dragon of Eternity Quest Dark Randgris Helm [Medium Cost] – Provides you +5 to all stats, +5% ATK & MATK, and +10% Healing Effectiveness. A very solid headgear choice for a Genetic on a budget. This can be obtained via the GM Castle (GM Dungeon: Cloister of Annihilation) Hopping Filir [Low Cost][Recommended] – The Holy Grail of support Genetics; it increases the amount your Potion Pitcher heals but reduces your damage capabilities by half. Very easy to acquire through the Homunculus Thesis Quest +7/10 Midgard Serpent Hat [High Cost] – Gives you +2 to All Stats and 5% After-Cast Delay Reduction out of the box. It starts to really shine though at higher refines: at +7 it'll grant you 10% Demi-Human Reduction, and at +10 it'll give another 5% After-Cast Delay Reduction. Obtainable via the World Boss (EBF) Shop. +8/10 Old Midas Whisper [High Cost][Recommended] – Fantastic bonuses but doesn’t work on PVP. Increases your Cart Cannon damage by 15% and ranged damage by 1% per 2 levels of refinement. It also grants +ATK, MaxHP, and MaxSP depending on the refine rate. Arguably the best in slot when it comes to PVM, but has no effect on PVP and needs to be refined to really shine which is costly. A very costly investment, but a very worthy one if you love and enjoy doing PVM content. Obtainable via the Pro Hunter Shop. Beret / Feather Beret / PooPoo Hat [Low Cost] – Gives 10% Human Reduction. Great in PVP/WOE for new players / supports. Dropped by various monsters. Ship Captain’s Hat [Low Cost] – Grants +1 DEX and +7% Long Ranged Attack. VERY EASY to make and would serve well as a starter headgear to increase your overall damage. Obtainable via the Ship Captain’s Hat Quest Kiel D-01 Card [High Cost][Recommended] – The best card in slot for Genetics. Makes you spam your skills faster since they have relatively low or no cooldown at all. Bacsojin Card [Medium Cost] – Increases your Potion Pitcher effectiveness but also increases the SP consumption of your skills. Great for support Genetics, I recommend putting it in your Hopping Filir. Maya Purple Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – Allows you to detect hidden enemies. Very valuable in PVP/WOE and easily farmable. Works extremely well with Crazy Weed in revealing hidden enemies. Do not use together with Prism #3. Gemini S58 [Low Cost] – Gives you resistance to various status ailments. Great budget card if you do not have anything to put in your slots and very useful against certain instances. 4B. Middle Headgear Baron’s Evil Eye [High Cost][Recommended] – Gives you -5% After-Cast reduction in exchange for more SP consumption. Arguably the best in slot available to Genetics. Obtainable via the Pro-Hunter Shop. Noble Mask [Low Cost][Recommended] – Gives STR, INT, ATK, MATK – almost everything that a Genetic can ask for! A solid overall headgear that is very cheap to make – get one ASAP! Obtainable via the Noble Mask Quest Royal Dark Flame [Medium Cost][Recommended] – I like to call this “Noble Mask on steroids”. It gives +1 to all stats and a higher ATK and MATK bonus. You can get this from the King Poring World Boss. Shadow Booster [Low Cost] – Grants you +1 flat ASPD and 1% After-Cast Delay Reduction. A good substitute if you don’t have any of the above headgears. Obtainable via the Belphegor (?) World Boss Sunglasses [1] / Glasses [1] [Low Cost] – Just a slotted headgear with no stats or whatever. Very easy to make and I recommend this for starting players while working towards your Noble Mask. Obtainable via the Headgear Upgrade Quest. Other slotted mid-headgears [Low Cost] – Various slotted headgears for mid is obtainable via the Dating Quest Cards are the same as above. 4C. Lower Headgear Rainbow Sash [High Cost][Recommended] - +5 to all stats. Need I say more? The best in slot for almost all classes but VERY HARD to make. If you have this, by all means, I recommend that you use it – if not, your time and budget can go a long way with other equipment slots so do not prioritize it. Here is a great guide in obtaining it. Golden Fish in Mouth [Medium Cost][Recommended] – It gives +2 to all stats and +10 to both ATK and MATK! A great solid choice for a Genetic. Obtainable via the World Boss (EBF) Shop but needs to be enchanted for a slot. Speed Orb [Low Cost][Recommended] – It gives +1 flat ASPD and +3% ATK and MATK. Great overall and looks good too. Obtainable via Werewolf World Boss. Vajra [Medium Cost] – Grants you +2 DEX and +2% Long Ranged Attack. The best lower headgear if you want more damage. Obtainable via the World Boss (EBF) Shop but needs to be enchanted for a slot. Poring Rucksack [Low Cost] – It gives +5 to STR and VIT. Not much to explain here, you can get it from the Vote Shop and is enchantable in order to get a slot. Previously obtainable via the Vote Shop. Pumpkin Rucksack [Low Cost] – It gives +2 to stats and is fairly easy to make but only in Halloween events. Can also be enchanted like Poring and Deviling Rucksacks for the additional slot. Obtainable via a quest during Halloween Events; here's a guide. Rainbowring Rucksack [High Cost] – Gives +3 to all stats and is much more attainable than Rainbow Sash but still a pain to acquire. You can get it at a low chance when enchanting any kind of Rucksack (Poring, Deviling, Pumpkin). Nebula Aura (Lower) [Medium Cost] – Gives a hefty amount of MDEF (+35 MDEF) and a chance to autocast various protective buffs. The reason I didn’t recommend the Mid + Lower version is that the Lower version is cheaper (because it’s mostly failures from Rainbow Sash making) and much more useful by occupying only one headgear slot. Obtainable via the Nebula Aura Quest. Father’s White Moustache [Low Cost] – Gives +20 ATK. Very straightforward – just more damage in general but not as much as Vajra. I don’t recommend this that much since you’re better off with stacking stats, but if you really need that extra juice of damage, this will serve you well. This drops from Werewolf World Boss and can be enchanted for a slot. Gentleman’s Pipe [Low Cost][Recommended] – Grants 2% Demi-Human Reduction. I highly recommend this for support Genetics or as a starter lower headgear as it is very easy to obtain. Obtainable via the Headgear Upgrade Quest Angry Mouth [Low Cost] – Grants 3% After-Cast Delay Reduction. VERY easy to acquire and very effective - the downside is the absence of a card slot. Dropped by Mushu Mushu. Carat / Elder Willow / Isilla / Cendrawasih Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – All add +2 to INT except Isilla has a chance of decreasing Variable Cast by 50% and granting +30 Flee when using magical attacks (you have no reliable way of proc-ing this bonus so don’t count on it too much). Rhyncho Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – Gives +4% Heal Effectiveness with no downsides. Great for support Genetics. Bungisngis Card [Low Cost] – Gives +1% MaxHP for every two refines. Works exceptionally well with Poring Rucksack for maximum HP gain. Nightmare Card [Low Cost] – Grants immunity to the Sleep Status and +1 AGI on top. Great against some nasty instance MVPs that cast Wide Sleep. Take note that this does not make you immune to the Deep Sleep status. Giearth Card [Low Cost] – Grants immunity to the Chaos (Confusion) status and increases resistance to Earth property attacks by 15%. Great against those annoying Leak Card users in PVP. 4D. Armor Brynhild [0]/[1] [High Cost][Recommended] – Arguably the best in slot for many classes. It gives you more damage, HP, SP, and Knockback Immunity (which is great in PVM). The non-slotted version is a tad easier to get and would work even without a card slot because of the recent buffs while the slotted version is a real pain in the ass to get but is definitely worth it. Not a starter choice but a great end-game gear. This can be obtained via the GM Castle (GM Dungeon: Cloister of Annihilation) +0/7/9/12 Geffen Magic Robe [High Cost][Recommended] – One of your most precious tools in decreasing the fixed cast time of Acid Demonstration and maximum After-Cast Delay. Great bonuses – gives 5% ATK & MATK, Uninterruptible Cast (works in WOE) out of the box, 10% Demi-Human Resistance at +7, Flat Fixed Cast Reduction (-.10) at +9, and an additional 5% After-Cast Delay Reduction at +12. Relatively easy to get and farm, but is a pain to get to +12. Obtainable via the Geffen Magic Tournament Instance +8~10 Hero Trade Mail [Medium Cost] – Gives MaxHP, MaxSP, ATK, MATK, and a chance to inflict various status effects when dealing a physical attack. And most importantly, gives more stats depending on your base stat and refine level of the armor. Great for general PVM but is kind of mediocre in PVP because of the lack of reduction. Obtainable via Isle of Bios & Morse Cave Instances. Valkyrie Armor [Low Cost][Recommended] – A relatively easy armor to obtain that grants you +1 All Stats and is Indestructible. I recommend this if you're not wearing the Sprint Set and is working towards higher-end armors. Dropped by Valkyrie Randgris. Sprint Mail [Low Cost] – Gives you +1 VIT and 3% Heal Effectiveness. Core part of the good ol’ Sprint Set. VERY EASY to farm and is a great starter armor. You can enchant it at Prontera for additional stat bonuses. Works exceptionally well with the Sprint Set but is also decent standalone. It drops from Cornus from the New World – which you can access easily by doing the Cat Hand Access Quest. Tao Gunka Card [High Cost] – Nothing much to explain since everyone knows what this card does. It doubles your MaxHP (+100%) in exchange for cutting your defenses in half. Sealed Tao Gunka Card [Medium Cost] - Half a Tao Gunka; +50% MaxHP and reduces your defenses in half, +75% if the slotted armor is +10 and above. Werewolf Card [High Cost] – It gives +50% MaxHP. Basically a half-tao Paladin Card [High Cost][Recommended] – With the recent buffs, LHZ4 cards are now all exceptionally good. It provides you with 45% MaxHP, 5% After-Cast Delay Reduction, and even has a chance to autocast Shield Boomerang when receiving physical attacks. Champion Card [High Cost] – An offensive variant of Paladin Card; foregoing some of the bonus HP for ATK. Has a chance to autocast Investigate when receiving physical attacks. Detale Card [Medium Cost][Recommended] – Gives you Freeze immunity which is indispensable as a support Genetic, especially in PVP. It also has a chance to autocast Land Protector when receiving magical damage which will help you and your party against those pesky AOE spells both in PVP and PVM. If you’re playing more of a support role, I recommend you to get this or a Marc Card, whichever fits your budget. Marc Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – A cheaper Detale that provides a 5% Water Property Resistance instead of the autocast (Land Protector), a solid choice for newbies, support or not. Amdarais Card [High Cost] – Grants +15% ATK and MATK in exchange for HP and SP drain per 4 seconds. TONS of damage for Acid Demonstration and Cart Cannon, but be cautious on the SP drain. Ghostring Card [Medium Cost] – Enchants your armor with Ghost property (Ghost1), great for general PVM and PVP as it reduces Neutral attacks by 25%, but be wary using this on WOE – you’ll get rekt by Soul Expansion and Ghost type Cart Cannon. Evil Druid Card [Low Cost] – Enchants your armor with Undead property (Undead1), a great alternative to Marc card as Undead is immune to Freeze, Stone Curse, and even Wide Soul Drain. Great for both PVP and PVM. The downside is that while wearing this, you can’t be healed (you can still be Potion Pitched) and Resurrected – so be cautious in using it. Angeling Card [Medium Cost] – Enchants your armor with Holy property (Holy1), which grants you immunity to the Holy element and gives you 25% Elemental Reduction on almost all elements except Neutral, Shadow, and Undead. Other Elemental Cards for general PVM usage – Bathory (Shadow), Agriope (Poison), Pasana (Fire), Swordfish (Water), Dokebi (Wind), Sandman (Earth). 4E. Weapon +8~15 Old Parasol [High Cost][Recommended] – I daresay that this is the best weapon for general use of Genetics. It gives MATK, +%Long Ranged Damage, and even After-Cast Delay Reduction; not to mention that It has 3 slots and is enchantable! This needs to be at least +8 to be great. The ideal enchant is FightingSpirit as it increases both your Acid Demonstration and Cart Cannon damage, but since the enchant can’t be reset, some of the other options aren’t that bad: Spell & Matk% increases your Acid Demonstration damage while ASPD+1 and %ASPD can save you a lot of stat points. The only useless enchant would be Sharp as critical does nothing for Genetics. Obtainable via the Horror Toy Factory Instance. /+10~15 Crimson Saber / Mace [Medium Cost][Recommended] – Gives tons of raw ATK but needs high refine rates to really shine. Very easy to farm and comes with different elements which can save you the trouble of getting elemental converters. I recommend new players to get one ASAP. The choice between Saber/Mace is depending on the target (only concerns Cart Cannon since Acid Demonstration isn’t affected by size modifiers): Small/Medium = Saber, Medium/Large = Mace. Take note that Maces are also indestructible as they are. Both are dropped by various mobs: @whodrops 13454 & 16040 respectively. /+10~+15 Twin Blade of Naght Sieger (Red/Blue) [High Cost][Recommended] – Has the highest damage output of any one-handed weapon of the same refine rate that you can use with the Red coming on top. This is because of the three slots and that you can get ExpertArcher when you enchant it in Malangdo. The problem is that it’s hard to get and refine. Obtainable via the Endless Tower Instance. +0~15 Erde [Low Cost][Recommended] – A very underrated weapon. Gives +10% more healing which is great for support Genetics, but also enchantable in Malangdo! If you don’t care about damage, you can even get ASPD/Int/Dex enchants. It can catch up to the damage side if you get to enchant it with two ExpertArcher. I highly recommend this for aspiring support Genetics. Dropped by Orc Lord. +0~15 Balmung [High Cost] – Grants +8 to all stats and comes with 3 slots. Not a good weapon damage-wise because it is a dagger, which means your Cart Cannon will suffer from the size penalty against Medium and Large sized monsters which will force you to put a Drake Card in it. As for Acid Demonstration, the lack of access to ExpertArcher enchants hurt it too. Being a dagger also mean it doesn’t benefit from Sword Training, making you miss out on +50 ATK. Could work well if you’re a support and you’re just after the stats though. This can be obtained via the GM Castle (GM Dungeon: Cloister of Annihilation) +10~+15 Elemental Sword [Medium Cost] – Ah! The King of Old! It’s still decent if you don’t have access to the other options. I only recommend this to support Genetics because of the stat bonuses and slots, because if you want damage, you’re better off with Crimsons as it’s easier to get. Dropped by Cobalt Minerals from WoE 2 Guild Dungeon (Schwartzvald Guild Dungeon). +10~+15 Hurricane Fury [Low Cost] – TONS OF DAMAGE. This bad boy gives up your shield to deal tons of damage but grants Medium Size Reduction (10%) – use at your own risk. Every refine gives 1% more Medium Size Reduction and ASPD. Shoot for an ExpertArcher enchant in Malangdo. Dropped by Boitata and Gloom Under the Night. +0~15 Mace [Low Cost] – If you really just want to use status cards / ASPD cards and don’t care about damage at all, this is a great choice. The 4 slots and the built-in indestructibility are terrific. An example is putting in x4 Dark Priest Cards for maximum SP drainage. +0 Combat Knife [Low Cost] – Provides you with 10% more Demi-Human Reduction and ignores defense of Demi-Human monsters too (built in Incantation Samurai Card effect). Great for supports in PVP when not Potion Pitching (switch to Erde when pitching if you are able to). Enchantable in Malangdo for more stats! Dropped by Sniper Cecil. +0 Moonlight Dagger [Low Cost] – Good for getting out of sticky situations wherein you have 0 mana (Soul Burn, Dark Priest Card, or Wide Soul Drain / T_W_O card). You only need to attack once to recover 3 SP and you’ll be able to pitch Blue Potions to yourself. Dropped by Moonlight Flower and Assassin Cross Eremes. Memory of Thanatos [High Cost][Recommended] – I mean, this card needs no introduction at all. Just take note that it doesn’t affect your Acid Demonstration at all. So if you don’t intend to use Cart Cannon, stay away from this. Archer Skeleton Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – Gives +10% Long-Ranged Damage. The cheapest damage increasing card for Genetics (overall)! %Ranged Damage is King as it affects both your Cart Cannon and Acid Demonstration, especially the latter. It loses by a very small margin against Daehyeon, Turtle General, Drake, etc. - but if you're in a budget, get this as it's a breeze to get relative to the other choices. Enhanced Archer Skeleton Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – A direct upgrade from Archer Skeleton Card, it gives additional +2% on top of the original +10% Long-Ranged Damage when user is above 100 Base Level. Dropped by the respective mob in the Room of Consciousness Instance. Incantation Samurai Card [Medium Cost] – This is what I like to call “Poor Man’s Thanatos”: Ignores the DEF of normal monsters (does not work on MVPs) - it's not the same effect but the damage isn't that far off (especially versus low VIT non-MVP mobs). Very accessible because it’s easy to hunt and not that costly to buy. Great for Cart Cannon if you don’t have access to Thanatos. Drake Card [Medium Cost] – Ignores the size penalty of your weapon. Great for swords, but not so much for maces since there’s not much small sized monsters and if there are, they mostly have low HP pools. It only concerns Cart Cannon. If you have a spare slot, it’ll help a lot when using swords against large sized monsters. General Daehyeon Card [High Cost][Recommended] – Gives a flat +100 ATK when equipped with a sword. The best in slot alongside Thanatos Card if you are using a one-handed sword: the damage difference it has versus Archer Skeleton is minimal. If you have the budget, go for it - otherwise Archer Skeleton will serve you just as well. Turtle General Card [Medium Cost] – For some reason it works exceptionally well with Daehyeonn; if you don't have Daehyun, it's better to use Archer Skeleton / Drake. Lord of Death Card [Medium Cost][Recommended] – Has a chance to inflict various status effects and a very low chance to inflict Coma when physical attacking. A great card for support Genetics, or when you don’t need damage and would prefer crowd control. Works great with Cart Cannon’s AOE Stormy Knight Card [Medium Cost][Recommended] – For the same reason as above, provides a high chance of Freezing enemies which works exceptionally well with your Cart Cannon AOE. Dark Priest Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – For the same reason as above, great for draining SP of enemies. Doppelganger Card [Medium Cost] – If you’re having trouble reaching 193 ASPD with stats alone as a support, this card can save tons of stat points. Gives flat 6 ASPD Cecil Damon / Dancing Marionette [Low Cost] – A cheaper alternative to Doppel. Gives %ASPD with different drawbacks. Cecil Damon decreases HIT while Dancing Marionette decreases ATK. 4F. Shield Valkyrie Shield [Low Cost][Recommended] – One of the easiest shields to get your hands on and is very effective because it provides a hefty 20% Elemental Resistance to Water, Fire, Shadow, and Undead property. I recommend this because most of the time, you will need to have a shield card for a certain situation. Dropped by Valkyrie and Valkyrie Randgris +0-9 Mad Bunny [Low Cost] – Provides you with more ATK and MATK. Great for PVM when you don’t need resistances. Can be obtained from Werewolf World Boss. +7-12 Immune Shield [Medium Cost] – A great shield but needs high refinement to really shine, which In turns makes it less appealing. You can use this over Valkyrie Shield if you need more Neutral Resistance. Can be obtained from Belphegor (?) World Boss. Orlean’s Server [Low Cost] – Has a 5% chance to reflect any single target spell. If you’re having trouble with single target magic, this shield can help you and works especially well with Maya Card. Dropped by Aliza. Golden Thief Bug Card [Medium Cost][Recommended]] – Gives you immunity to all magical skills. Not much explanation needed. Very solid. Maya Card [Medium Cost] – Great against pesky single target skills like Soul Expansion and Adoramus. Hodremlin Card [Low Cost] – Provides you with resistance for every Size and a chance to increase your Perfect Dodge. A good card for general use. Thara Frog Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – Everyone knows this card, so I don’t really need to explain. Alice Card [Low Cost] – Grants a huge 40% resistance against Boss protocol monsters in exchange of getting more damage from normal monsters. Great for MVP-ing, where GTB isn’t needed. King Poring Card [High Cost][Recommended] - Grands MDEF, VIT, and Demi-Human Reduction, but also has a chance to give you resistances to various status effects. An expensive OP card. Bijou Card[N/A Cost] - Grants Immunity to the Frozen Status (!!!!!!) which frees your armor slot off of Detale/Marc and grants +10% ATK & MATK on top of that. Here's a complete list of reduction cards for shields. 4G. Footgear +3/6/9 Temporal Dex Boots [High Cost][Recommended] – Hands down the best footgear that you can ever ask for. It gives %Ranged Attack damage and a flat Fixed Cast Reduction when your base Dex is 185. You can even enchant ExpertArcher on it. Obtainable via the Old Glast Heim Instance As for the last enchantment, you have lots of options: +3/6/9 Temporal Str Boots [High Cost][Recommended] – Gives you a ton of raw ATK. If you don’t really need / want insta-cast Acid Demonstration, this is the best choice for you. Not only is the bonus easier to attain (base 180 STR), that also means that it’ll save you a ton of stat points that you’ll otherwise need to put into DEX if you used Dex Boots. Obtainable via the Old Glast Heim Instance +3/6/9 Temporal Vit Boots [High Cost] – Just a ton of HP / SP, decent for support Genetics but not that great. Obtainable via the Old Glast Heim Instance Variant Shoes [Low Cost] – A staple footgear which gives a ton of HP and SP, be careful not to refine it! Dropped by Beelzebub. Enhanced Variant Shoes [Medium Cost] – Gives lesser bonuses out-of-the-box compared to the normal version but makes up for it with a slot. Obtainable via the Eden Group Crystal Synthesis Quest Boss Egnigem Cenia Card [High Cost][Recommended] – My personal favorite in this slot; gives you +10% MaxHP and MaxSP, and regenerates HP and SP every 10 seconds. Has saved my ass so many times when I ran out of SP (I am using an Eira build). Great against Soul Burn, Bloody Lust, T_W_O Card, and Dark Priest Card - a must for Eira users! Amon Ra Card [Medium Cost][Recommended] – Gives +1 to all stats and autocasts Kyrie Eleison when receiving Physical Attacks; be sure to have at least base 99 INT to make the most out of it. Also, take note that GTB blocks the Kyrie and that it has an after-cast delay, so if you don’t have enough After-Cast Delay reduction, it could backfire. Green Ferus Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – Gives +1 VIT and +10% MaxHP. I highly recommend using this if you don’t have any of MVP cards above. Martyr Card [Low Cost] – The same as above except it gives +1 to AGI instead of VIT. Antique Firelock Card [Low Cost] – Gives +2 STR out-of-the-box and +10% MaxHP, and MaxSP if your footgear is +9 or above. If for some reason your footgear is +9 and you don’t have any MVP cards to put in, you can use this. Blut Hase Card [Low Cost] – Provides %ATK and %Ranged Attack, great if you need to squeeze in more damage in your build. Enraged Cookie Card [Low Cost] – Gives +1% ATK and MATK but decreases your MaxHP by 2% and the same bonuses apply per 2 refinement. A cheap alternative to Blut Hase Card. 4H. Garment +7/9 Adventurer’s Backpack [High Cost][Recommended] – The best in slot for Genetics since almost all the bonuses it gives benefit you. It gives ATK, ASPD, MATK, Neutral Resistance, and %Ranged Damage depending on the refine rate and your base stats. Just make sure to have your base stat at 90 for best results. Obtainable via the Pro-Hunter Shop. Emperium Wings / Fallen Angel Wings / Seraph Wings / Archangel Wings [High Cost][Recommended] – Gives bonuses depending on your stat points and doesn't need any refinement to use at its full potential. A good alternative if you don’t have access to Adventurer’s Backpack. Also enchantable at their respective shops for more bonuses. Obtainable via the WOE, BG, EBF, and Adventure Guild shops respectively. Giant Faceworm Skin [Low Cost][Recommended] – Amazing to use alongside Temporal Boots for the huge boost in MaxHP (15%) and MaxSP (5%). It comes with different enchantments that are stat bonuses. I highly recommend this if you are using Temporal Boots and don’t have Adventurer’s Backpack yet. Good for newbies too as it’s very easy to farm and even cheap to buy (below par skins serve well as starting gear). Obtainable via the Faceworm Nest Instance. Nydhorgg's Shadow Garb [Low Cost] – Gives you 7% resistance to ALL elements and increases your MaxSP. A very solid and fairly cheap choice. Dropped by Nydhoggur’s Shadow. Cloak of Airship / Ferlock's Cloak - Both grants +20 Flee and +10% Netural Reduction and comes with a slot - the only difference is the Variable Cast Reduction which we do not care about. These are great in PVM as most monster attacks are Neutral property. Obtainable via the Airship Raid Instance. Noxious Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – Gives 10% Neutral Resistance and 10% Long Ranged Reduction with no drawback. A great overall card if you don’t have high-end resistance cards or multiple copies of garment to switch into – this is your safest bet. Raydric Card [Low Cost] – Gives 20% Neutral Resistance. A good card but I personally prefer Noxious over this. Deviling Card [Medium Cost] – Gives 50% Neutral Resistance but makes you take 50% more damage from every other element. A good card against fellow Genetics and in some way or another against Suras and Royal Guards. Be cautious when using it. Dark Guardian Kades Card [High Cost] – Gives 50% Elemental Resistance from Fire, Wind, Water, Earth, Shadow, and Undead but you’ll take more damage from Ghost and Holy. This should be your go-to switch against Sorcerers as with this, they do not have anything that can hurt you fatally. DO NOT use this against WLs as most of them uses Soul Expansion. Farbjodur Card [High Cost] – The same as above but you’ll take more damage from Neutral instead of Ghost anda Holy. This should be your go-to switch against Warlocks as they are left with Comet and Napalm Beat to deal decent damage against you. Assassin Cross Card [High Cost] – Great for hit-and-run tactics in PVP as it pairs well with your Cart Boost and makes you way more annoying than you already are. Menblatt Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – Increases your %Ranged Damage depending on your base DEX which pairs well with Temporal Dex Boots. Great for general PVM. Wakwak Card [Low Cost] – A good substitute if you’re not using Temporal Dex Boots + Menblatt as it will give you ATK based off your STR. Here's a list of other Elemental Damage Reduction cards for Garments. 4I. Accessory Expert Ring [Low Cost][Recommended] – My personal choice in the accessory slot. Each of these bad boys will give you 5% After-Cast Delay reduction which will translate to faster Cart Cannon, Acid Demonstration, Hell’s Plant, and Potion Pitcher. Dropped by Ragged Zombie. Improved Expert Ring [High Cost] – A better version of the above but is very expensive which in my opinion is not worth for the additional 1% After-Cast Delay reduction and +10 ATK & MATK. If you have it, feel free to use it. If not, I do not advise getting it as your budget can go along way in other slots. Obtainable via enchanting an Expert Ring. Physical Intensifier Ring [Medium Cost][Recommended] – Provides you with %ATK and %ASPD and pairs extremely well with Geffen Magic Robe to give you more Demi-Human reduction and After-Cast Delay reduction. Bear in mind that the combo script of the set bonus is only considered once. Obtainable via the Geffen Magic Tournament Instance Str Gloves [Medium Cost] – Tons of ATK. If you need more damage, this is the accessory for you. Obtainable via the Eclage Glove Maker (here’s a guide to help you obtain it) Bangungot Agimat Tattoo [Medium Cost] – Increases both your healing prowess and the healing you receive. A decent choice for full support Genetics. Obtainable via the Pintados Festival Event Quest Royal Earring [Medium Cost][Recommended] – I’ve recently fallen in-love with this accessory. At max job level, each earring will give you a whopping +5 AGi, +5 DEX, +5 INT +10% Healing Effectiveness and 6% Elemental Resistance to Fire, Wind, Water, Earth. Not to mention that it has a chance to increase your MaxHP when you are attacked (not that it matters that much). You can get it from King Poring World Boss. Silversmith Bracelet [Low Cost] – A relatively easy to obtain gear with decent stats (+1 to All Stats, +3 MDEF) and access to LVL5 Spell Breaker which is very useful against certain instance bosses (e.g. Naght Sieger - Spell Breaking his restore skill). Obtainable via the Old Glast Heim Instance (Treasure Room) Broken Chip 01 + Broken Chip 02 [Low Cost]– Individually they give +4 STR and +4 INT respectively, but together they give a whopping +12 STR and +12 INT in total and they even come with slots. The drawback is that they’re a pain to obtain. Obtainable via The Last Room instance Belphegor Card [High Cost][Recommended] – The best accessory card you can get your hands on. Increases your ATK, MATK, MaxHp, MaxSP and has a chance to autocast Wide Freeze when being attacked. The stats will speak for itself. Faceworm Card + Dark Faceworm Card [Medium Cost][Recommended] – Not that good when used individually but really great when used together - grants you +1 VIT, +1 AGI, +1 INT, + 1 DEX, +3% ASPD, 6% After-Cast Delay Reduction in total. Errende Ebecee Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – A chance to autocast Pneuma when hit by any physical attack which is great against Rangers, Gunslingers, fellow Genetics, and many more. Alligator Card [Low Cost] – If chance to be immune to all ranged attacks isn’t your cup of tea and would like a surefire way to reduce damage, this is what you’re looking for. It reduces damage from long ranged physical attacks by 5%. Horong Card / Silvering Card [Low Cost] – Enables the use of Sight and Ruwach respectively. Great when paired with Maya Purple if Crazy Weed & Wall of Thorns isn’t enough to reveal hidden enemies. Iara Card [Low Cost][Recommended] – A very new card. Enables the use of Status Recovery, which will enable you to help Frozen / Stone Cursed teammates. Bronzering Card [Low Cost] – Grants you +20 ATK. If you need more damage, get this card. 4J. Shadow Gear Reload Shadow Set [Recommended] - The best Shadow Gear for Genetics in my opinion. This set will allow you to reach 100% After-Cast Delay Reduction easier. Force Shadow Set [Recommended] - Just more ATK in general. Great hand in hand with the Reload set as they use different equipment slots. Boned Shadow Set - Great for PVP, giving you more damage against Medium-sized monsters. Intelligent Shadow Set - More INT, not really much to explain. Kingbird Shadow Set - Grants you more ATK and %Ranged Attack Damage. A good alternative if you don’t have the Reload set. Infinity Shadow Set - Basically a free Drake Card if by chance you get them at a total of +15. Great for Sword users! 4K. Equipment Sets Sprint Set – I recommend getting this set if you're just starting in the server. Easiest set to farm that works well in PvM since you can have multiples for elemental armor switching. All the parts can be farmed in the New World. Sprint Mails drops from Cornus, Sprint Shoes drops from Hillslion, and Sprint Rings drops from Luciola Vespa. Adventurers Set – By far the easiest set to get as it is essentially free from Mr. Giveaway at the center of Althea. Great starter set with solid stats for PVP/WOE while you grind for your Emperium Set as you don't need any refine on it to be effective. The downside is that you can't refine it (can't use refine based cards) and switching is impossible as you can only get 1 set of this. Suit / Plate WoE Sets – You have two choices in this: the Siege Suit Set or the Siege Plate Set - I'd say it's purely up to personal preference as to what to use; I personally prefer the Siege Suit Set. The edge of this over Adventurer's Set is that it's relatively cheap to acquire several pieces for switching but if you don't plan on doing switching etc., I'd suggest you stick to the Adventurers Set. Glorious S Set (Battlegrounds) - A relatively cheap set to farm that still performs reliably especially for a support Genetic. It works well without the rings if you don't have them as they are quite expensive for the stats that they give. Warmaster's Set (Battlegrounds) - A more offensive choice of armor that boosts the damage of Cart Cannon. I'm not really a fan of this set but it's there as a choice. Warmaster's Suit - Grants +15 MDEF, +20 Flee, +10% MaxHP & MaxSP, 5% Demi-Human Reduction. If +6 or higher: +15% Healing effectiveness and uninterruptible casting (doesn't work on WOE). If +9 or higher; has a chance to enchant the armor with Ghost property when receiving physical attacks. Set Bonus: +7 AGI/INT/VIT, +15% Long Ranged Reduction, -.15 Fixed Cast Time, and 10% After-Cast Delay Reduction. Warmaster's Cloak - Grants +10 MDEF, +3% ATK & MATK, 3% Demi-Human Reduction. If +6 or higher: +3% MaxHP & MaxSP, +3 INT. If +9 or higher: +2 ASPD, 7% to reflect single target magic. Warmaster's Shoes - Grants +8 MDEF, +8% MaxHP & MaxSP, 2% Demi-Human Reduction. If +6 or higher +15% ASPD, recovers 2500 HP every 7 seconds. If +9 or higher: +25 ATK & MATK, +12% MaxSP, recovers 700 SP every 7 seconds. Warmaster's Badge - +5% Healing effectiveness, +5% ATK & MATK. Has a chance to Awaken for 10 seconds when using Potion Ptcher, Heal, or whe dealing gamage. Awaken Bonus: +150 ATK or MATK, +150% HP/SP recovery, 15% After-Cast Delay Reduction, --0.2 Fixed Cast Time, +15% Healing effectivness. Emperium Sets – Finally, the revered Emperium equipment. In general cases, these are the highest of the high-end gears when it comes to PVP; personally, I dislike the concept of these items as they are waaaay too strong that it kills the diversity of equipment/builds but that's another story for another day. The good thing about these armors is that you can mix and match them and you'll still get the set bonus from whatever Emperium armor you have. I'll briefly discuss the choices in here. Emperium Armor - The original Emperium armor still packs quite a punch even with the addition of the new armors. It gives +3 ASPD, +20 MDEF, +7% MaxHP & MaxSP. If +6 or higher: +20% Long-Ranged Reduction, if +9 or higher: +7% ATK and MATK. Set Bonus: +20 MDEF, +3 All Stats, +15% Demi-Human Reduction. A very solid and versatile choice as it's easily usable by different classes. Emperium Formal Suit - Quoting my friend @Hangul "It screams Genetic all over" - and hell yeah it does, offensive Genetic at the least. It gives +12% ATK & MATK, 40% Stone & Freeze Resistance. If +6 or higher: +5% MaxHP & MaxSP, 10% After-Cast Delay Reduction. If +9 or higher: Regenerates 2% of HP and SP every 7 seconds. Set Bonus: +4 All Stats, +10% Neutral Resistance, and a high chance of inflicting Stone Curse on the attacker when receiving physical damage. The ATK/MATK and 10% After-Cast Delay bonus are huge, Stone/Freeze resist would let you slot in an offensive card in your armor, but the best part is the HP/SP regen part - this would free the footgear slot for Eira users as this is practically an Egnigem Cenia card or just good in general for the same reasons as the card. Emperium Cape - The best garment available to genetics imo, it provides a healthy mixture of both offense and defensive bonuses. It gives +3% MaxHP, +5% Resistance to all elements, and increases your MaxSP by 5*BaseLevel. If +6 or higher, +3% MaxHP, 2% Resistance to all elements, +3% Long Range Attack. If +9 or higher: +20 ATK/MATK/HIT, +2% Long Range Attack. It's hard to beat this garment with such solid bonuses. Emperium Boots - A versatile choice among classes which makes it a really safe choice. It grants +8% MaxHP & MaxSP. If +6 or higher: +5% Long Range Attack, +1 All Stats. If +9 or higher; -25% Fixed Cast Time. Emperium Accessory Set Bonus (any two of different named accessories trigger this bonus) +3% ATK/MATK, 5% After-Cast Delay Reduction, 5% Elemental Reduction (except Neutral) Emperium Clip - A fantastic accessory (and my personal choice) that grants you LVL1 Hiding and Sight! Freeing your accessory slot off of Horong/Silvering cards. Hiding is useful in dodging non-earth ground targeted skills. On top of that, it also gives +4% MaxHP, +1 All Stats, +2% MATK, +4% Long Ranged Attack. I recommend getting this + one other accessory. Emperium Glove - An offensive oriented accessory. It gives +10 MDEF, +3 STR/INT/DEX, +5% ATK/MATK. Emperium Gauntlet - A support oriented accessory. It gives +10 MDEF, +3 VIT/INT/AGI, +5% MaxHP, +4% Healing Effectiveness. 5. Homunculus System I won't be discussing each and every homunculi in detail but instead will be talking about what I personally think are the viable ones while giving a brief overview on the others. 1. All Homunculi are Demi-Human and Neutral Property 2. They gain a skill point for every three levels. There is no job level equivalent. 3. They obtain additional EXP from server rates, but NOT Battle Manuals. 4. Their Flee and Defense is not reduced by the number of monsters. 5. Their Hit is capped at 99%. Even if it has more hit than required, it will always miss at a 1% chance. 6. All Homunculi have a base attack speed of 1.4 seconds / attack (130 ASPD) 5. Homunculus stat growth is RANDOM. Nothing will affect which stats will grow and which won't. 6. Homunculi can hit Ghost property monsters with its normal physical attack. 7. The Ideal way of feeding is to feed it between 11% - 25% Hunger for the maximum intimacy gain of 5. Intimacy Tiers Once a Homunculus gets an Intimacy of 911 or higher (Loyal) you can use an item called a Stone of Sage to evolve it into its higher form (its Intimacy resets to 10 (Hate). Once its Intimacy reaches 910 again (1 point before Loyal), a fourth, new skill is unlocked. Once evolved, the Homunculus will gain these advantages: 1. Boosted Hit Points (HP) and Spell Points (SP) 2. Boosted Stats (random distribution) 3. Unlocked the Final Skill (Evolution/Ultimate Skill) 5A. Homunculus (Base) Here's a brief table of the base homunculi: I would personally recommend for you to choose between Filir, Amistr, and to some extent Vanilmirth - Lif is just outclassed by the other choices. Choose Filir if you want to level up your Homunculus faster, as its base stats and skills make it the easiest to level up. Choose Amistr if you want the most value of your homunculus as its skills and stats are great for PVP and PVE alike. Choose Vanilmirth if you want a mix of offense and defense as its stats are in-between. 5B. Homunculus S To mutate your Homunculus, you must do the Homunculus S Quest. (PAY THE FEE FOR A STABILIZED MUTATION!!!) To mutate a Homunculus into a Homunculus S, meet the following requirements: 1. Homunculus must be evolved into their 2nd form 2. Homunculus must be at least Level 99. 3. Homunculus does not need to be Loyal to be mutated. Once mutated, the Homunculus will alter its base stats, will remember all of its skills from its previous form and will change into the new "S" form. However, its Intimacy will reset to 10 (Hate). If the Homunculus did not get the evolved loyalty skill, it will not be able to acquire it after mutating. New Homunculus S skills will become available as the Homunculus reaches certain level requirements. There are 5 types of Homunculi S to choose from: In this guide, I will only discuss about Eira and Dieter; as I deem them the only worthy homunculi to use in our server. Eira - A great supportive choice of a Homunculus due to 3 of its skills: Overed Boost, Silent Breeze, and Light of Regenerate. Overed Boost - This skill at LVL5 sets the Genetic and Eira's ASPD to 189 and Flee to 500 (fixed; cannot be increased nor decreased by anything) for 90 seconds at the expense of SP and Hunger at the end of duration or upon re-cast (making Eira the fastest Intimacy farming Homunculus). This opens up to 1 AGI 189 ASPD builds; meaning you can put more stats for more offense or survivability. This also makes it possible for Eira comfortably use intimacy consuming skills like Filir's S.B.R.44 and Vanilmirth's Self-Destruction. Silent Breeze - This skill heals the target by a certain amount in exchange of inflicting the target and itself with silence. Certain status effects are overridden by the silence that this skill inflicts, such as: Chaos, Sleep, Deep Sleep, Hallucination, Harmonize, Howling, & Siren's Voice. Furthermore, the silence that this skill inflicts can be resisted by stats and cards - making it a free cure for these ailments. Light of Regenerate - This skills makes Eira a Token of Siegfried on legs, but it needs a Loyal intimacy level which will drop to Cordial once it is casted. In a nutshell, it provides you a Token of Siegfried buff for 10 minutes at LVL5 that has priority over actual Token of Siegfried's when in effect. This is a very helpful skill in PVE when you are soloing instances or just can't afford to die. This does not work on PVP/WOE. Dieter - A highly offensive oriented Homunculus. Almost all of its skill are straightforward and are viable in PVE and PVP. Pyroclastic - Dieter's ace in the hole. Endows the Genetic weapon and Dieter's attack by Fire and increases their ATK tremendously. However, during the duration of this skill, you cannot switch waepons. And after the duration of this skill, your weapon will break if you don't have Chemical Protection in it, except for indestructible weapons like maces, etc. Volcanic Ash - Sprays a Volcanic Ash in a 3x3 AOE that inflicts the Ash status to anyone who passes through it. Be cautious when using this skill on WOE because this affects ally too. Ash Status Granitic Armor - A supportive skill that provides the Genetic and Dieter 10% damage reduction from all sources for 60 seconds at the cost of %MaxHP at the end of the duration. Lava Slide - a 7x7 AOE skill that inflicts FIre physical damage every two seconds with a chance of inflicting the enemies with the Burning status. Works really well alongside Demonic Fire for more Burning! Magma Flow - Dieter's main leveling and tanking skill; Dieter inflicts Neutral physical damage at a chance when receiving physical attacks when this skill is active. 6. Stat Building I’m not going to provide you with a clear-cut status build because it will greatly change depending on gears that you have. I will however take you into how you would want to approach the stats of your Genetic. Full Support 180-200 INT – Your most important stat to maximize the amount you can heal others with Potion Pitcher. 150-180 VIT – Another key point Is your survivability, more HP to stay in the battle longer. DEX – Just enough DEX to reach the threshold of 0 Variable Cast Time. Here’s a simple formula to help you calculate how much DEX you need to put in [(530 – INT)/2 = DEX]. AGI – Just enough to get if not 193 ASPD at least 189 ASPD with Berserk Potion. 100ish STR – Just enough to carry stuff: equipment, potions, catalysts, and ammo. LUK – The rest should be dumped here, for more status resistance and some ATK, MATK, and Perfect Dodge. Should be divisible by 3 for maximum efficiency (ATK and MATK) or by 10 if you want more Perfect Dodge. Hybrid / Damage Type 180ish INT – Still your most important stat to increase your damage and Potion Pitcher effectiveness. 185~ DEX – If you’re using Temporal Dex Boots, you need 185 DEX to activate the bonus. If not, just put enough to reach 0 VCT (formula same as above) 150-180 STR – The second stat that increases your overall damage and weight capacity. AGI – Just enough to get if not 193 ASPD at least 189 ASPD with Berserk Potion. 120-150 VIT – Self-explanatory, same as above. LUK – the rest is dumped in here, same as above. 7. Special Thanks @Nicocaine & @Hangul for pushing me to do and finish this guide, giving helpful inputs, and even proofreading this guide. @Autumn Angel & @lancelot for lending me items to test and doing actual tests with me. 8. Ever wanted to know how long it will take you to kill a certain monster? Well, now you can find out! Formula: ( MonsterHP / ( ( YourDamagePerHit ) * ( 50 / ( 200 - YourAspd ) ) ) ) = Seconds to kill Monster ( 5,529,000 / ( ( 100,000 ) * ( 50 / ( 200 - 193 ) ) ) ) = 7.7406 Seconds Explaination of Formula: 5,529,000 = HP of Monster, in this case, Emperium. 100,000 = Your total damage per hit (Right+Left hand if you are using GX/Ninja class) What about if you wanted to solo King Poring? Since all World Boss Events have a time limit of 40 minutes, we should aim for 35 minutes. ( 975,000,000 / ( ( 65,000 ) * ( 50 / ( 200 - 193 ) ) ) ) = 2,100 Seconds ( 2,100 / 60 ) = 35 minutes What if you are using Critical / Auto-Warger Ranger? Calculating damage is slightly more complicated, especially since Rangers don't always have 100% Critical Rate and also have a Warg to add as a variable. (Note: Step 1.1A, 1.2B, and #2 also applies to melee classes)

    World Boss Equipment Drops

The drop rate for speed orbs are very low. (Also, rewards are no longer based off of damage.) Making the items tradable will just lead to players not participating in WBE.

In recent updates in the past months, Mechanics while on Madogear can no longer use active skills from cards and equips (only auto-cast ones work). Official behavior is that no non-Mechanic skills can be used while on Madogear. Meaning not even Whitesmith or Merchant skills can be used while on Madogear. So it would defeat the purpose of making it official because Mechanics on Mado are already capable of using WS and Merch skills anyway and that's already unofficial behavior. Weapon Perfection, Maximize Power, etc. can be used even when you're on Madogear. Therefore the two options would be: 1.] Make it actually official, which means only Mecha skills are usable while on Madogear (no WS or Merch skills) but that would make playing Mechanic much less fun and not a lot of people are even using it as it is. Even lesser now probably because of the update from months ago. This is the boring option lol 2.] Revert it back to before the update so that Mechanics can use all active skills that can be gained from cards and equips. The more fun option! This is the Mecha behavior for the past 2 years, I think. There are no OP cards and equips that a Mechanic on Madogear can use anyways that will make it super hard to beat. It just makes playing it more fun! 🙂 Please consider this suggestion! The 2nd option, thank you ❤️

It's an official feature, even if I'm agree about to remove it, it's a thing that was missing here related to Mercenaries. I've talk with friends who plays in other servers and they commented why mercenary thingy was completly easy to get here, and that was YEARS ago. If we are pretty much attached to official features, and get used to it, I think we can get used with something that actually have time ago running in other servers. I do use Mercenaries, and this actually hits me hard, but I was aware about this time ago, and I was expecting such thing late or soon in here. As you say, Theo, there are other things more important to complain at, but not because it says "is official" its an authoritary thing, it was just a must in that mechanic. Just my opinion. Peace

    December Update

I'm sorry... where it says all magic damage in mobs are buffed? Because are extremly high now. One fire ball from Ifrit or Comet in WBE (for example) can kill you with one hit, this is not good for newbies who wanna try wbe or Instances... not if they aren't using gtb. Or why are those magic skills on mobs buffed now? Maybe I'm missing something. Thanks.

    Old WB drops

I just want to suggest the lifting of the untradeability of old WB drops; Mad Bunny, Immune Shield, Shadow Booster, etc., & costumes from the essence/egg. Almost all new drops from King Poring and the new costumes on all WB Eggs/Essences are tradeable, I don't think a retrospect change would be a harm to anyone. Thank you.

    King Poring Card

If script is right, that would mean thara would also reduce higher than KP by 5%. We did a test regarding the shields differences against player damage. First pic is without shield, second pic is with KP, third pic is with thara. If the scripts are right, thara would then reduce better than KP. But it clearly doesn't. I don't even think the span of 15k and 7.9k is just 25% or 30% reduce if you'd compute it. Its 45% reduce. And following your theory, Thara would reduce more than KP.

    Emperium Fragment Gaining

I like some of your ideas, but not all of them, while some others are pretty much amazing. :P Point of the entire reward system was to bring every WoE player to the same level as of being rewarded. Not by giving everyone the same amount of fragments, but to reward you based on certain achieved goals. Guild Leaders are not supposed to earn any additional fragment because they are already being rewarded with the treasure chests. The entire idea of the reward system was to find a way to reward non-guild leaders. So please forget about that right away Sorry to let you down but: These are not simple implementations, but most of your suggestions require a major overhaul on the battle systems or a huge amount of skill source code changes. And we do not have the ressources to basically re-code the entire woe, battle, skill and buffing system from scratch. The things we're tracking is based on an already existing modification which has been in place long before i've released the WoE reward system. That means that the tracking system itself isn't our original creation.... -> Only the reward system which is based on the available meta data. As you're already noticed, some skills may be considered differntly than you might expect it. That's because not every single skill itself includes a source code modification, but the core of the battle system includes such checks. This does not allow us to be flexible at all when it comes to tracking certain skills or to create certain exceptions. So your suggestions majorly asks us to rewrite everything from scratch. I wouldn't be able to do this myself, which means i would have to pay external coders to do it for us. But since gRO is a non-profit server since several years, there's no way that i could afford this kind of implementation anymore. And even if.... it's fairly complex and would require a lot of time and effort. Sidenote: Our WoE ranking page "scoreboard" is not directly connected to your actual ingame rewards. Yes... we do reward you based on some of the information from the ranking, but not everything matters. Most common issue for players not being rewarded enough is not because they don't play a certain class. But because they don't bother to play multiple objectives. ( Data according to our WoE reward logs ) Yes some classes might be easier to farm fragments, but that will always be the case. I personally would always prefer having fun over some additional fragments, but that's just my opinion. Short version: Really great ideas and i would love to get most of them into the game asap. But we're not capable to realise them at this point.

    Homunculus and Homunculus S Guide

Homunculus What are Homunculus? Homunculi are special pets which acts as a support or an instant party member for the Alchemist class. Trivia: How to get a Homunculus? One must complete the Bioethics Quest to unlock the appropriate skills to create a Homunculus. (Much better to talk to the Platinum Skill Npc so you will get the Bioethics) Once you get a Bioethics skill, make sure you have an Embryo on your Inventory and use Call Homunculus. How to get an Embryo You can either make these, purchase from other Alchemists or just buy at the Tool Dealer at Althea (althea 166, 277). To make one, you need to have Prepare Potion along with the following items: Medicine Bowl Glass Tube Morning Dew of Yggdrasil Seed of Life Potion Creation Guide (not consumed) These items can be bought at the Alchemist Guild (alde_alche 35, 179) Note: Types of Homunculi There are 4 types of Homunculi. Comparisons Players often ask "which should I choose?" which kinda reminds you of that time when you picked your first pokemon. Each homunculus offers a different purpose that will suit the players' needs. Not only that but also stats and skills are carried out to Homunculus S. Lif (Demi-human, Starting Stats: 150 HP/40 SP, STR: 12, AGI: 20, VIT: 15, INT: 35, DEX: 24, LUK: 12, Category: Support) If you want something to just walk around Althea with a cute companion, this is a good choice but if you want to use it as a party member, its not. It offers a movement speed boost but that is already covered by Cart Boost. Its stats are low, no burst attack and a useless healing skill therefore using it as base is not really advisable. Amistr (Brute/Animal, Starting Stats: 320 HP/10 SP, STR: 20, AGI: 17, VIT: 35, INT: 11, DEX: 24, LUK: 12, Category: Tank) The best base for a Homunculus S but also hard to feed especially if you choose learning Blood Lust making it loyal requires twice the amount and also lacks offensive skills. Its main selling point is its skill Defense which is valuable since it increases VIT and a certain amount of defense which can be useful in PvP and MVP. Not a pet for those who doesn't like to wait for it to get loyal. Filir (Brute/Animal, Starting Stats: 90 HP/25 SP, STR: 29, AGI: 35, VIT: 9, INT: 8, DEX: 30, LUK: 9, Category: High ASPD/Dodge) A good base due to its skills and offensive stats but suffers from lack of VIT which carries over on your Homunculus S. Other than that, its still a good choice for a base. Vanilmirth (Formless, Starting Stats: 80 HP/11 SP, STR: 11, AGI: 11, VIT: 11, INT: 11, DEX: 11, LUK: 11, Category: Magic) If you can't choose between Filir and Amistr, this is the best option left. Having high VIT and HP and also decent offensive skill although Caprice is random. This is the best homunculus for brewers since their skill Instruction Change increases success rate for brewing. Intimacy Just like your pets, homunculus requires feeding. Always feed the homunculus between 11~25 hunger level so that it gets 1 point of Intimacy. (Well auto-feed option already answers this but you need to at least learn how it works) If one forgets to feed the homunculus, Intimacy will drop and homunculus will leave its master once it gets to 0 Intimacy. Homunculus displays a warning by using emotes. Stat Growth Homunculus' Stat Growth differs from its masters. Here's a chart on how to calculate their stats: Mature Versions Use Stone of Sage once Intimacy gets to Loyal Homunculus S Similar to Digimon or Pokemon or whichever game you prefer, your Homunculus evolves to an improved version which we refer to as Homunculus S. How to get Homunculus S? You can only obtain a Homunculus S by doing the Homunculus S Quest and make sure that your base Homunculus have evolved to its mature form. (Refer to below for the Quest) You also need to fulfill these requirements: Owner must be a Geneticist Homunculus must be evolved into their mature form Homunculus must be at least Level 99 Types of Homunculi S Comparisons Eira Similar to Lif, this is the least popular amongst the choices, but not entirely useless. Most skills require loyalty but they are pretty handy depending on the situation, they might act as life savers like Overed Boost that sets FLEE at 500 and Light of Regenerate that Eira uses to bring owner back to life. Recommended base: Vanilmirth Bayeri Another unpopular choice from the pack. Stein Wand is basically Safety Wall but differs with its duration and number of blocks. Heilage Stange is very bad though as it is interruptable making it useless in battle. Stahl Horn can be used in PvP but Stun and Knockbacks are really unreliable in WoE. Recommended base: Filir or Amistr Sera Very popular pick due to its Pain Killer which massively reduces damage on the owner making it good for tanking. Recommended base: Filir or Vanilmirth Dieter Probably the most popular due to the skills it has to offer. Pyroclastic provides a good damage boost but can break the weapon. Defenses are good when it comes to stats. AOE skills like Magma Flow and Lava Slide makes it very popular. Recommended base: Amistr or Vanilmirth Eleanor A good offensive homunculus but has not much to offer aside from its offensive abilities. It can chain its offensive skills Sonic Claw, Silvervein Rush and Midnight Frenzy. Recommended base: Filir Homunculus S Quest In the Geneticist Guild in Lighthalzen talk to Viorel (job3_gen01 12, 44) Agree to visit Viorel's house and he will warp you inside Talk to him again, and explore the Homunculus Mutation System. He will send you to Jeyna. Talk to Jeyna; She will ask you to check the Magic Board behind her. This will briefly explain the Homunculus S. Talk to Jeyna again. If you agreed, She will transform your Homunculus back to a Strange Embryo. Talk to her again and she will send you to Viorel. Talk to Viorel, he will give you an option for a stabilized mutation for 50,000 zeny or not pay at all for a random unstabilized mutation. Talk to him again to leave the place. AI Sadly I don't have a working AI right now, I'll edit this guide once I manage to get one, but I don't think there's one or if we are encouraged to have an AI of Homunculus, I still have to ask them to the higher ups. Gomen gomen... 😢 CONGRATULATIONS ON MAKING YOUR HOMUNCULUS! 😎 PS: I want to thank @Gacha and @Kazalus for helping me. I also like to thank @Pixel for discussing me some things regarding them.

Gravis' Guide to a Support Rune Knight!

Rune Knights are feared for their massive HP and ability to deal large amounts of damage against groups or individual targets but seem unlikely to support a team with buffs until now... Welcome to my guide on how to play a support Rune Knight! (PS: Any Rune Knight can be support regardless of build) =============================================== Probable questions: Q1: How can a Rune Knight support? A1: You'll soon find out Q2: Why support when you can focus killing enemies? A2: To simply put it, Rune Knights can basically make everyone pseudo-Rune Knight due to their buffs which we shall discuss soon. =============================================== This guide contains the following: 1) Short intro on a support Rune Knight 2) How to support as a Rune Knight 3) How to utilize your Runes in various situations =============================================== Short Intro It is not common to see a Rune Knights playing as support because most players would opt to get more kills or get reach higher places on the scoreboard by themselves. The purpose of this guide is to reintroduce the long forgotten art of the Rune Knight support and allow players to not only succeed by themselves, but as a team as well. Another reason why players would rather score kills themselves other than support is because it's "not fun". Seriously though, what's not fun in giving a Nosiege Runestone buff to everyone? Note: I won't be tackling item builds since this build does not require any gear to be useful! How to Support as a Rune Knight The concept of playing a Support Rune Knight is very simple. So simple to as any Rune Knight of absolutely any build can play it efficiently. All it requires is timing, patience, and a modest amount of zenny. A Rune Knight support is heavily reliant on the usage of the various Runes most especially the Lux Anima Runestone which transfers your most recent Runestone buff to all party members within a 7x7 area! Let's get on to the various Runestones! Lux Anima Runestone - This will be your rune for buffing all your allies in a 7x7 area! When using this runestone, it will remove the most recent runestone buff you applied on yourself and give it to all allies in a 7x7 area. You will be using this quite often and so always time your runestone buffs when most of your allies are nearby. Berkana/Verkana Runestone - Using this rune will grant the Millenium Shield buff which provides 2~4 shields with 1000 HP and the same Def and Mdef as the user. Each shield will block an instance of damage (and will block excess damage as well!) making you impervious to mortal strikes 2~4 times (depending on the number of shields). Using this along with the Lux Anima Runestone will cause your allies to avoid multiple instances of damage that could mean the survival of your team! Hagalaz/Hagalas Runestone - Using this rune will grant the Stonehard Skin buff with provides a decent Def and Mdef buff as well as a chance to break the weapon of attackers. I strongly recommend using this when you're sure that NONE or at least most of the enemies are not using a Thanatos Card or Sealed Thanatos Card. Use this when you're up against Sorcerers or Warlocks to give your team a huge advantage towards them due to the Mdef boost. Party members affected by the effects of the Hagalaz Rune will have 20% of their MaxHP taken away. Isa/Isia Runestone - Using this rune will grant the Vitality Activation buff which provides extra healing when using potions or getting healed. This runestone is perfect when you have an Arch Bishop in your party since it will provide extra survival rate for all members affected by this rune. Do not use this rune lightly though, due to the fact that it disables SP Regeneration. Nauthiz/Noseige Runestone - Using this rune will grant the Refresh buff which bestows immunity to Stun, Sleep, Curse, Petrification, Poison, Blind, Silence, Bleeding, Chaos, Frozen, Deep Sleep, Burning, Freezing, Crystallization, Marsh of Abyss and Howling of Mandragora. This also cures the mentioned effects if you are effected by them. Use this runestone when your team is about to siege a castle or take down a group of enemies. One minute is more than enough to destroy the enemy and take the castle down with them. This runestone has a very long cooldown so only use it on or before a dire situation. Othila/Asir Runestone - Using this runestone grants the Fighting Spirit buff which bestows Atk, and Aspd to every party member in the area. The Lux Anima Rune won't debuff you and split the buff (since it already does that) but doing so will still consume a Lux Anima Rune. I recommend using this first before everything else to get the most buffs out of everything. Raido/Rhydo Runestone - Using this rune will grant the Crushing Strike buff which, for a single strike, deals a massive amount of damage, and has a chance of breaking your weapon upon striking the enemy. This runestone buff cannot be granted to other party members but can still be used for other means (such as taking out an enemy). Use this independently. Thurisaz/Turisus Runestone - Using this rune will grant the Giant Cross buff which increases Str, and has a chance of enhancing the next regular hit by 300% it also has a small chance to break the target's weapon when attacking. I personally use this when I'm near a Guillotine Cross (the usual Emperium Breaker) to speed up their breaking. You can also use this when alongside Rangers or any auto-attacker to boost their damage output! Uruz/Urj Runestone - Using this rune will grant the Abundance buff which grants 60 SP Recovery every 10 seconds. Use this to counter-act the effects of the Isa Runestone. This is also great when your party needs to restore some SP after a scuffle. Wyrd/Pertz Runestone - Using this rune will activate a shockwave in a 7x7 dealing damage to the area. That's all it does, no buffs whatsoever. Use this independently. =================================== FOOTAGE! (view this via GatheringRO Patcher) Runebuffer.rrf =================================== WoE Applications! (above) I pre-cast the Nosiege Rune (Refresh) just outside the clash area to surprise the enemy. This is an important tactic because if the enemy sees what trick you have up your sleeve, they will most probably retreat and wait for the effects of the Refresh to wear off. (above) As soon as I entered the portal, I used my Lux Anima Rune to give buffs to everyone in my area. Unfortunately, it's quite tricky to land a lot of people within your Lux Anima Rune so I (fortunately) only able to pass the Refresh buff to Challengeur (who wrecked a lot this woe). (above) Coordination, coordination, coordination. Playing as a support Rune Knight is one of the most challenging yet one of the most rewarding support roles! You can be any build and still be a support! Trust your team, and you're sure to win! (above) Packed like sardines, we stuck together and buffed each other so hard that @Gale Windscar ran up the portal (and Arrulloing) us all. There's @Gacha looking adoerabowl ❤️ (he was preparing diabolic plans) (above) These guys waited for my cooldown to finish before attacking. Letting your team know what you're doing will allow them to coordinate very well. Being an RK support isn't like playing an Arch Bishop wherein you just heal and buff, you need timing, proper coordination, and most of all, trust amongst yourselves. (above) Here is me telling my guildies to dog-pile on the entrance so they'd get them juicy buffs (above) AND THEY DID! (above) (above) Note, my gear was extremely substandard but it didn't keep me from boosting my team mates from getting the castle. ================================= Notice how I use the Nosiege Rune and Hagalaz Rune before entering a skirmish. These buffs are extremely important in frontal assaults since they protect your team from various status effects as well as grant them a lot of Def and Mdef. Turisus Rune and Asir Runes were used when many of us are in a single area. Giant Cross allowed our breaker (Nidhavel) and the others to break the Emperium with ease despite the fact I died attempting to stall the enemy. Millenium Shield protected some of my team mates from getting hurt too badly from the Soul Expansion. Coordination is key to winning as a Rune Knight Support. ABSOLUTELY ANY RUNE KNIGHT CAN DO IT ============================================ I hope you all enjoyed my guide on How to be a support Rune Knight! Special Thanks to: The Varia Guild, @Gacha for leading an awesome WoE, gRO community. HOPE THIS HELPS Y'ALL!

    World Boss Nuisances

Have no sense, Vio, you always were luring me those mobs to me anytime you could with your summoner, and now you can notice by yourself how annoying it is? I asked you many times to stop that. It would be enough if players can report who is luring those mobs to players in purpose like you did to me weeks ago. I also had to report you with a GM because it was annoying if you have 100%+ neutral resist and others are hitting the mob, then happen: It take more time to kill Belphegor (in this case) if hitters are receiving anytime a Comet in their faces only for a joy of troll person. Also, GMs have to take in consideration this fact and take care seriously those kind of reports.
