This guide will talk about how you can World Boss with your character and do significant damage! Class & Strategies

King Poring

The King Poring for me, is the second easiest World Boss to face since it has 'okay' Def and Mdef compared to the other World Bosses. However, this one is not to be underestimated. You will require a couple of people who know what they're doing or else, it will be quite difficult to beat the King Poring. Note: You do not need to have a tank to face this thing up front. It is actually advised that no one would get to a 5x5 cell radius from it so it won't trigger it's spells. Oh, it also does some Angeling summons that don't hurt much. They're Holy level 4 so you can't hit them with anything but Neutral and Shadow property.

The classes you will really need in this instance would be Ranger and Sorcerer.

Let me explain why:

The King Poring has a tendency to do Wide Freeze when it is on low HP regardless if anyone is near it. This can be extremely annoying especially when everyone is in full tilt. One fatal Wide Freeze could mean this boss wiping out half of the DPS, most especially the Rangers. This is where the Sorcerer class comes in. The Sorcerers have a skill called Warmer which removes and prevents Frozen status from occurring. It also gives massive HP regeneration to those not in Frenzy state. Sorcerers can also spam Dispel and Spell Breaker to prevent the King Poring from using Auto Guard and using AoE skills. Rangers on the other hand are staple in all World Bosses. Their ability to attack from a distance without triggering certain skills from the World Boss makes them the unparalleled DPS class during World Boss. I would suggest using the "Auto-Warg" build to deal the maximum amount of DPS. Using Arrow Storm build will sometimes have moments wherein you deal no damage due to the Auto Guard of the King Poring which will COMPLETELY block an instance of your damage. Keep that in mind.

It is imperative that everyone stays in one area where the Sorcerer is. The Warmer will benefit everyone and make the King Poring much much easier to deal with since it cannot freeze anyone nor get near due to the Spider Web. Also, if anyone is wearing Wind Arrows, they will benefit from your Violent Gale and Water Insignia (I will explain this later).

Cooperation is key to having a quick and easy World Boss. I recommend having a single party wherein everyone present is in. (Buff benefit, HP awareness etc.)

Must-have items

Ranger

You will require a Creeper Bow [2] for this World Boss. In the recent patches, Spider Web has enabled usage in PvE areas. This caused a new meta to arise. Multiple Rangers using Creeper Bows will lock the King Poring in place giving everyone time to keep distance and deal damage. In your Creeper Bow, you may insert a Thanatos Card and an Abysmal Knight Card only if you can afford the Thanatos Card. If not, you may opt for just 2x Abysmal Knight Cards. Another combination could be Valkyrie Rangdris and Abysmal Knight Card to be used to assist the Sorcerer in Dispeling the boss.

The Ranger can have two types: Crit or Thana. Either of which will benefit from the Lord Knight Card (Grants lvl 1 Frenzy). For starters, a White Wing Set will be very helpful and you can advance to Brynhild and Temporals if you have enough zennies.

Sorcerer

The Sorcerer class here is quite budget compared to the Ranger. All you really need is a Valkyrie Shield with an Alice card along with a slotted Armor with a Marc Card inside. If you wish to deal damage, you can cast Psychic Wave, Thunder Storm and Diamond Dust on the King Poring. Oh by the way, if you want to improve everyone's damage (requires initial planning) tell everyone to wear Wind Arrows and Violent Gale in the area of which they are standing in. Violent Gale will increase any Wind Element damage by 1.5x. When this is in effect, cautiously approach the King Poring without getting too close to it and cast Water Insignia on it's spot. This will then increase any incoming Wind Element damage by another 1.5x giving a total of 3.0x damage. You can also cast Striking on your Ranger party-mates and give them around 200 additional Atk for 1 minute.

Soul Linker

This class is so under-played that not many know it's true potential. This class has a skill called Eska which forces an enemy unit into Steel Body state. This means that their Magic Defense and Defense skyrocket making this a target for Thanatos Card users. Make sure to spam this a lot so that in case it get's dispelled by one of the Sorcerers or Rangdris users, you can still maintain it's effect. Your Warm Wind skill will let you shift properties making the Sorcerer a great class to be with due to the ability for the Sorcerer to cast either Deluge or Violent Gale and still benefit from the damage bonus it gives.

Belphegor

Alright, now this World Boss is THE MOST ANNOYING. EVER. I cannot describe enough how annoying this little **** is. It is the World Boss with the most notable skills and will require a skilled team to take down. If you're new to the World Boss Events, remember this: DO NOT. I REPEAT, DO NOT BY ALL MEANS USE AOE SKILLS. Using AoE skills will cause you to aggro the demons Belphegor summons thus dragging them towards people beside you. Why is this bad? Well, each demon has a unique skill set that will decimate and annoy the hell out of anyone in the vicinity. One of them casts Comet which deals minimal damage but will cause Burning status to the ones hit. Another demon casts Loki's Veil which will cause those within to not be able to cast any skill and nullify any skills cast on the Veil. Yet another demon casts Dragon Howling and Dragon Fear which causing random effects like Confusion and Stun to anyone in the radius after which, it will attack you with 193 atk speed causing your poor and untimely death. If you don't aggro the demons, they will stay near Belphegor and will basically be useless until someone goes close to BelphegorBelphegor has the habit of casting Magic Mirror which will reflect 1 instance of ANY magic damage regardless of being single target or AoE. This can be eliminated using Dispel or casting a weak spell on it to reflect.

BELPHEGOR DPS RACE. IF YOU DON'T KILL HIM FAST ENOUGH, THE THING FLIES AWAY LEAVING YOU WITH ABSOLUTELY NO REWARDS.

The classes you will really need in this instance would be Ranger, Genetic/Royal Guard, and Sorcerer.

Let me explain why:

Belphegor has low Defense and Magic Defense so I suggest using a Crit build instead when running a Ranger class. He has the second lowest HP pool among the other World Bosses and will be easy to kill if you just coordinate with each other. Genetics are the best tanks in this instance because they have the ability to cast Full Chemical Protection on themselves and prevent themselves from being Full StrippedSorcerers can spam Dispel on Belphegor to prevent him from using Auto Guard and Magic Mirror, but must avoid using Psychic Wave, Diamond Dust, Thunderstorm, Varetyr Spear, and other AoE skills. I suggest just simply using Bolt skills to do DPS and catch some of the Magic Mirror casts. It's also a good idea to cast Land Protector on where the Rangers are to prevent them from being hit by the Storm Gust, Meteor Storm and Lord of Vermilion from Belphegor.

Note: Rangers should use Warg and not Falcon in fighting Belphegor. Also avoid using Flying Galapago because this item triggers Blitz Beat despite not having a falcon in play. Do not use Stormy Knight Cards or Bloody Knight Cards because any damage source dealt to the summons of Belphegor will cause them to lock-on you and kill you.

Again, get into a single party for everyone to get buffs and the good stuff. If you have an Arch Bishop with you, the better.

Must-have items

Ranger

The Ranger's items will be similar to that of the King Poring. But, you will only utilize either 2x Abysmal Knight Card in the Creeper Bow or Valkyrie Rangdris and Abysmal Knight Card combinations. Lord Knight Card is also advised to be used because you can go Berserk and deal both high damage and survive longer. If you have a Sorcerer with you, you may ask him to Soul Change you to regain your SP and go Berserk again. DO NOT USE ANY CARD THAT TRIGGERS AOE SKILLS SUCH AS STORMY KNIGHT AND BLOODY KNIGHT CARDS.

Sorcerer

When playing as a Sorcerer in this instance, I strongly suggest you use a Chilly Spellbook [2] with 2x Cobalt Mineral Cards inside. (Belphegor is formless). Use only Bolt-skills preferably Cold Bolt to benefit from the Chilly Spellbook's effects. Do not cast any one of your AoE skills so that you don't pull any aggro from the demons. If you can, you may also talk to your team beforehand and tell them to use Water Property Arrows so they may benefit from your Deluge skill and deal 1.5x damage, and gain additional MaxHP. After which, you may cast a Fire Insignia on Belphegor's spot and cause him to take 1.5x more damage from Water Element Attacks giving an overall 3.0x damage boost. Spam Dispel and Spell Breaker on Belphegor to prevent him from causing a disaster.

Genetic

Genetics play a vital role in beating this boss. You must have Full Chemical Protection on at all times and keep close on Belphegor. I suggest using an RSX card on a slotted armor so you won't get pushed back by Belphegor's Jupitel Thunder and losing the aggro... but, you can always opt for a Tao Gunka Card in a Brynhild if you can afford it. You should have an Alice Card in a Valkyrie Shield or Strong Shield, and a Kades Card in your garment to be super tanky. Your role is to maintain everyone's DPS especially that of the Ranger's. Belphegor casts Pneuma a lot so you really have to use Crazy Weed a lot and prevent that Pneuma from staying up. Your main damage source would be mostly from your Acid Demonstration and Cart Cannon.

A good substitute for a Genetic would be a Royal Guard since they have both a ton of HP and the ability to do Gospel which removes all debuffs and buffs on them. It's basically a hard-reset for them which is good since Belphegor tends to use Full Strip a lot. The Royal Guard can be an assistant tank for the Genetic since he/she can cast Devotion on the Genetic and absorb the damage instead.

Soul Linker

This class is just as important as it was in the King Poring section. Eska will turn Belphegor into Thana-bait causing it to take massive amounts of damage with just a single skill. If you have another Soul Linker with you and you get Soul Linked, you can buff other people with extremely useful buffs such as Kaizel, Kaupe,and Kaite

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Werewolf
The Werewolf has it be the easiest one to face but still not one to be underestimated. Any class that is not a Royal Guard, Rune Knight or Genetic should NOT try and tank this beast. It can use Axe Tornado and deal roughly 600k damage to anyone caught in it. This ability however, can be blocked by a Auto Guard making this basically an easy one to tank when using a Royal Guard. This thing casts Magic Mirror too so if you intend on casting spells on it, be careful. Another good side is that is summons nothing. It's alone and you are free to rain down hell upon it. This thing has a moderate amount of defense and magic defense so using Crit or Thana build on this would benefit a lot. Using a Creeper Bow here is also advised to avoid letting the Werewolf  get too close.
Must-have items
Ranger
Your items will be the same as the ones above. You can go greedy here though if you have a Sorcerer with you and just rain hell on the Werewolf. I recommend using Thanatos Card here over critical hits because you will benefit from the high defense of the Werewolf. Keep your distance and stay close to your supports.
Sorcerer
Employ the same tactic as the previous World Bosses but you may go full offense if you want to. Just don't cast any Fire-property spells or attacks so that the Spider Webs don't break. Just do the Ventus 2-P Violent Gale-Water Insignia combo. You will deal around 200k - 300k Thunderstorm damage to the Werewolf (I kid you not). Just beware of the Magic Mirror. I nearly killed myself more than once with a single Thunderstorm. A good way to alleviate this damage is to cast Warmer on yourself to heal it up. I also recommend casting Killing Cloud on the Werewolf so you only take an instance of 1k - 5k damage.
Royal Guard
Bring a lot of Yggdrasil Berries because you will lose a lot of HP here. Do not use GTB card; use Alice card with Valkyrie Shield or Giant Shield (which is better). Remember to always keep that Auto Guard up as well as your Reflect Damage skill. Avoid overusing your Sacrifice since it will hurt you more than it will hurt the Werewolf. When dealing damage, use Overbrand. Since it doesn't get pushed back (Boss Protocol), you can spam it all you want whilst taking the hit for everyone else.
Soul Linker
Since you know what this class can now do, I suggest you try and kill everybody this time! How? Try Casting Eske and see what happens.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Positioning

When positioning, always stay in one side preferably near the Sorcerer. Do not stop attacking the Boss and keep your arrows stocked up and ready. When tanking, make sure you stay absolutely still and try not to lure the thing towards the DPS.

Here is a rough diagram: X is for boss

  Soul Linker                                                     RangerRangerRangerRanger

                                   RGX                                                  RangerSorcererRangerRanger

                                                                                                    Ranger RangerRanger              Arch Bishop

All damage dealers must be on one side along with the supports so that you are both in range of support skills and you don't give the supports a hard time. The Soul Linker should be separate from the rest so in case the RG dies, he can Eske and slow down the boss for a while or draw aggro if needed.

Do's and Don't's

DO

-Stick together. It makes things easier for your supports and other teammates /no1

-Help the supports (revive them asap if they die). They keep you in full-steam. /ag/ag/ag/ag/ag/ag

-Be prepared (ready arrows, gemstones, points etc.). You don't want to run out of the good stuff mid-fight /rice

-Coordinate. It's the best way to survive and deal damage

-Have Fun!

DON'T

-Don't be a snowflake. Trying to be special and going your way will get you killed and lessen your chances of dealing your quota damge. /ene

-Don't Pull Aggros. You not only will kill yourself, but your team as well. /bzz

-Don't accidentally Dispel your tank... seriously, this happened and it was not good. /omg/...

-Don't be an asshole. Nobody likes one. /fsh

-Don't be angst-y about your loot. Not everyone get's a Belphegor Egg./heh/swt

What do you mean by "Don't be a snowflake"? xD

Means don't try to be 'special' or what not. The term 'Snowflake' roughly translates to being "inconsiderately different/special"... you know, being ballsy~
